Roma - Hands off De Rossi

Roma have insisted star midfielder Daniele De Rossi is not for sale despite speculation linking the Italy international with a move away.

The 26-year-old turned down a move to Real Madrid last summer and reports in Italy then claimed Roma snubbed a 45million euro bid from Manchester City earlier this month.

Despite City boss Roberto Mancini being a known admirer of the player, Roma technical director Bruno Conti insists De Rossi, who is expected to be a starter in Marcello Lippi's World Cup squad, is very much part of the future plans at Stadio Olimpico.

Conti said: "De Rossi is not for sale.

"In no eventual strategy in our market do we predict his possible sale."

One question...WHY?

http://lfcglobe.com/liverpool-set-to-ma ... left-back/

Liverpool set to make enquiry for Man City left-back
Sunday, 23rd May 2010 · Share on Facebook
Liverpool are set to make an enquiry for Manchester City left-back Sylvinho before he signs a new deal at Eastlands, we understand.

Sylvinho joined Man City last summer on a free transfer from Barcelona and is out of contract this summer.

City have reportedly offered the Brazilian a new deal with Roberto Mancini keen on keeping the veteran.

Mancini said: “Sylvinho is a fantastic man and player who always works very well. He is important for us.”

However, Liverpool will also make an enquiry in the next 48 hours to see if Sylvinho is open to a move away.

Fabio Aurelio is out of contract and with no sign of a new deal for the left-back, Sylvinho has been made a target in the hope he could be a temporary fix.

Emiliano Insua started most games for the Reds last season, however Rafa Benitez believes the youngster could learn a lot from 36-year-old Sylvinho.

The Anfield outfit could be too late, however, with Sylvinho expected to pen a new deal to remain at City.

According to me, a move for Sylvinho will be very unlikely. He is happy at Eastlands and I don’t envisage him wanting a move away, especially this late in his career.

Honestly, it seems like a very strange player to target this summer, but in theory, it could work.

He would definitely have been a good replacement for Aurelio – even though he’s 36. Also Insua could have learnt quite a fair few bit from him

He could not post a new topic himself so sent a pm to one of the regular poster Fbloke asking him to post his transfer knowlege.Fbloke posted the following little did he know what he was dealing with.

have been entrusted with this information by Bluecreed a member with 0 post history and a desire to tell us this.

I am not in a position to vouch for him or his info as I have simply received a PM.

hey ,
i just wanted to let my fellow mancunians here to know some of the real negotiations and info in this current transfer market.i dont know why the mods are not allowing me to post here and will be grateful if you kindly let all this info to be passed here.I want to assure to all mancunians is that our club is trying to break new ground in signing world class players and many we will be amazed of our signings in coming few days.People have started to wither down in hope since we havent been recently linked with world class players but let me assure you our club is sincerely trying to build a squad which can challenge for premiership title , so people dont stoop too low saying we are after arteta because we are def. not after him. as of now :-
1.)We have successfully negotiated with benfica for suiz and we are exploring our options for di maria .
2.)boateng is a done deal as everyone knows.
3.)we are going to sign a new centre back and chiellini is our top target.
4.)our midfield options have narrowed down to silva , hamsik & milner ,gerrard deal is still there but its for him to decide .on the silva front we are facing only competition with man u but dont think they can match our evaluation.
5.)for the striking option we are all positive about higuain and we have keep our fingers crossed for aguero & torres.

who all are doubting that we will not be to attract world class players just let me tell you this " ITS THE OTHER WAY AROUND"

Mods if you know of any reason why Bluecreed's info should not be posted let me know.

That's definately the same guy - still on about signing the Suiz canal. I never knew Benfica owned it now - and I never got round to asking him if we'd put a bid in for the Panama canal too.

So we're definitely getting Higuain, fingers crossed on Torres and Gerrard and we already have Ade and Tevez.

I'm so excited. Thank you so much bluemoon.

Tbh we had to look abroad eventually, London where holding out for 100M for the Thames, and well all the other rivers in England are to inconsistent and just flood.

EVERTON AND CITY SET FOR ARTETA ROW

EVERTON are braced for another summer raid from Manchester City – this time for Mikel Arteta.

City have not been put off by last summer’s rancorous saga over their £22million signing of Joleon Lescott from Goodison and are understood to be ready to make a £20m offer for 28-year-old Spaniard Arteta.

With Roberto Mancini identifying creative, attacking midfield players as a priority if City are to launch a title bid next season, he has drawn up an ambitious hit-list including Steven Gerrard, Cesc Fabregas, Joe Cole, James Milner and Arteta.

Gerrard and Barcelona-bound Fabregas were always likely to be non-starters, while Aston Villa have rejected City’s £20m offer for Milner.

Cole and Arteta remain on the radar, with the latter sharing the agent who helped push through Lescott’s transfer.

Mancini is eager to get some business done before the World Cup starts, especially as Arsenal view Arteta as a possible replacement for Fabregas. Arteta, who made a successful comeback in January after 11 months out with a knee ligament injury, has two years left on a contract that is understood to be worth £45,000 a week. He can expect to double that with City.

Everton boss David Moyes does not want to sell even though he could make a staggering £18m profit on a player he picked up for a bargain £2m from Real Sociedad five years ago. But if City follow up their interest by making a firm offer and Arteta indicates he wants to speak to them, then Moyes will not want a repeat of the Lescott affair that dragged on last summer and impacted on Everton’s start.

They were thrashed 6-1 at home on the opening day by Arsenal and failed to get their campaign up and running until December.

The fractious Lescott episode, during which Moyes exchanged angry words with then City boss Mark Hughes, will hardly help smooth any deal for Arteta. And relationships between the two clubs hit rock bottom when Everton won 2-0 at Eastlands in March, with Arteta scoring.

Mancini, Hughes’ replacement, was fined and warned after a touchline altercation with Moyes and City chief executive Garry Cook had a bust-up with an Everton fan in the VIP seats.

In a recent interview with the Daily Express, Moyes warned rival clubs that they should not regard Everton as an easy touch when it comes to transfer dealing.

Referring to the Lescott saga, he said: “I am not bitter about Joleon but I don’t think anybody realised what it did for us. It had a massive effect, but we got over it. It showed me that the team is bigger than any individual.

“Are we susceptible to offers? Of course we are because people look at us and think, ‘We can go to Everton and take their best players’. But if they do, they know they’ll have to come with a very big cheque.”

City could offer £10m-rated Stephen Ireland in a player-plus-cash exchange after he told the club he wants a move after falling out of favour under Mancini. ‘If they want our best players they will need a big cheque’

I just can't see us managing to get a player off Everton ever again after last summer - I reckon we'll steer clear just to keep the peace. Then again after the way they annihilated us on two separate occasions last season maybe we're following the old adage 'If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" and trying to poach their entire side bit by bit.

I'd go after Arteta with all guns blazing. Pay them over the odds if needs be. More than the money, we need playmaker who can make those crucial passes and run the game. There are not many better realistically available than Arteta. Oh, and we'd score twice as many goa,ls from corners..... especially if Mancini understood that YOU NEED TO PUT CORNERS INSWINGING.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Sergio Aguero for €60m if this is to be believed!

Doubt we would pay the full contract but that does seem a lot!

Would be an even bigger waste of money than Robinho was. I don't get why Aguero is hyped that much.. never in a million years is that guy worth 60m.
