Do City fans genuinely get excited by this?

United are still winning cups, achieving brilliant league places and are are part of the furniture in the Champions League. Far be it for me to tell our fans what to do, but I personally will only fell any superiority over United when we're competing with and beating them on the same level - which, despite major leaps, we're still far far from.

I find the City fans who continually gloat about United's irrelevant financial 'difficulties' just as hopeless and redundant as the Green & Gold brigade. Only it's worse because, as City fans, they really should know better.

It's just funny mate also for years they had the financial power to stay on top and they won most there cups by spending and buying players like Rooney etc from other teams. Nobody can deny they havn't got where they are today without a shit load of cash. So this debt just shows they cannot afford to keep it up as in previous years meaning we can catch up a little soon. But like I first said its fucking funny more than anything else.

Stop spoiling the fun you boring fucker. This is the only thing we can take the piss out of their fans for, fuck all else as they have trophies etc etc!

It's fucking clutching at straws mate that's what it is. And as I said, it's pointless.

The Swamp won't crumble overnight and Rooney won't be replaced by Dean Windass in a hurry - but the Club are slowly starting to implode. For example, Taggart's eventual departure will leave a gaping hole and it'll be a job no-one wants to take because of the expectation involved. Once a figure like that has fallen then others also will. I also understand it's easier to get Tickets now than it's been in years. And yes, someone from London told me!

I wouldn't go that far although Gill has said they have money for transfers I think they still have to sell to buy and I honestly think although Ronaldo wanted to go to Real they didn't have a choice because of the debt. If they ever fall out of the top 4 that debt will crush them and we need to do our bit to make sure that happens :).

just read this little ditty from a dillousional rag fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand your sentiments and i hate to see my club in debt too. But what again whatever we may say, they are incharge and they have bought the club whether we like it or not. Now if one of us can come out and offer 1.5b and buy the club then its wonderful.

But reality is that they are in charge and we have to live with it.

Everyone is different and everyone loves the club and i respect everyone's opinion.

However, from business point of view, Glazers have managed to continuously grow the business at the height of recession. Think of the potential when we are in better times.

Also note that this years results do NOT include:

1-new shirt deal from next year - £5-6m extra a year
2-New PL TV right from next season - minimum £10-13 m extra a year
3-new oversease rights - £8-10m extra a year

That itself makes it approx £25m extra a year. Not to mention the so much publicised "commercial revenue".

They have fixed the interest with bond issue and continue to grow the turnover. Our wage bill remarkably is around 43% which is very very good.

Honestly speaking , i hate to admit it but United are still on very solid grounds financially with even all the debt.

The thing which worries me is that when FERGIE retires and that is when the true test will come in.
Support the badge, players come and go along with managers!!!

I'm right with you.

Stick the two fingers up when we have beaten them on the pitch and won something, anything. But right now it's tad embarrasing to gloat. Football isn't about who has most money but who wins most games.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Unfortunately, money and success have both gone hand in hand for some time now.

I'm not waiting around to take the piss out of united. I'm going to milk their downfall from BEGINNING TO END. If I'm not mistaken, this very much looks like the beginning of their demise.

we'll see about that. People have been waiting for them to give up their place in the sun for a long time and it hasn't happened. Regardless of their debt, they won the League Cup and were second in the league and did well in Champions league. We are behind them on the pitch and that's all that matters. Truth is, they probably finish above us next season as well and all this talk about us having more money will make us look silly....again.

Hold on mate, I really think you're looking at this the wrong way...

Lets say you have a bigger house than me, bigger car, better looking wife, loads of wonga, massive cock, great dog, nice cheese etc... and you let me know this every day of my life...

Then one day both our doorbells ring. At my door is a man from the euro millions and at your door is sherrif looking for part payment so he doesn't start taking your shit there and then.

Option a) wait until I've cleared the cheque and officially have better than you in every department and then take my balls out
Option b) take my balls out there and then on the doorstep and everytime I see you do the same thing

Because lets face it, what's the worst that can happen? We run out of money and the rags start taking the piss out of us even more? Even more? There's no such thing as even more.

Enjoy every minute of this, from the background failure to the failure on the pitch when it happens... and everything in between.
