Love Glazers, HATE U**d.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

they're a bunch of idiots man utd fans the glazers are running the club well. whenever people hear the word 'debt' they relate it to a single person being in debt. it doesn't mean the same thing in football, especcially if you are arguably the biggest club in the world. same goes for some city fans too who think that united are going to collapse as a result of all this. they're not.

There is actually one thing that holds the whole Glazer / Scum model together - success generating revenue to pay the loans. Take that away and there is a spiral of less money for players, degeneration of team, cant pay interest etc.

The success is generated by Sir Taggart. You cant tell me any other manager can get the same out of that bunch of players, some of whom are decidely ordinary on their own. He will go soon, one way or another.

Not collapse no, but get poor, go down the league and get flogged off cheap. Sad, sad!

This is the key thing here.

i grew up in a split Manc household, and City were on top in my formative years.. but then went on a mission of self destruction and continually shooting ourselves in the foot.. starting with off the field ( just to make sure the culture was well and truly set in ). We didnt have the torment at home because there was no need.. you knew what everyone was thinking without it being said.. which is kind of worse tbh.

Anyways.. the rags current situation is that cracks are starting to appear and they are more vunerable since most of us can remember. While their debt isn't unmanageable it is a real concern for their fans because if they falter on the pitch they could in theory start to tumble.. add in that baconface cant carry on forever and you have the soft underbelly of the monster. The current green and gold protest is just a part of that concern their fans have and what is tantalising about it - especially for long suffering City Mancs - is it shows the divisions in the camp all too clearly. Gill coming out calling the protesters a bunch of idiots just helps cement the divisions.. shades of Peter Swales.
The old adage about divide and conquer.. well they are dividing themselves and while City fans ought not to gloat to the level that should only be done when we have achieved overtaking them on the pitch.. i imagine it is very difficult not to walk about in Manchester and quietly point out to rag fans that which is eating them from within.. and watch them squirm for once.

obviously when the time comes they're gonna get mourinho and the success will continue. it's not gonna continue forever but can see them being at the top for at least another decade. which is what i want because i want us to be competing for trophies with them every season.

Not me mate. As far as I'm concerned they can fuck off down to the third tier whilst we clean up.

Exactly they only have to lose bacon face and/or fall out of top 4 1 year and they will be in big trouble.

Its called education. For most of them, they have lived under a regime that has only known success and they cannot comprehend what failure is like.
The thought of failure is alien to them and in their one eyed blindness they can't see it coming.

Think of yourselves as teachers doing them a service. Pointing out where the cracks in their empire are and showing them that papering over them is ok in the short term but futile for the future. Make them aware that since the days when it was only they and Arsenal who were ahead of the pack, not only have Chelsea caught up and overtaken them but there is another pack of clubs (of which City are one) that are speeding into the future faster than they are.

Gentlemen...It is your duty to open their minds and allow them the vision of future battlefields strewn with points and trophies that they cannot win.
Do it with magnanimity, wish them well in their forthcoming derbies against Oldham, Rochdale and Stockport. Be generous and tell them that when the glory hunters have gone, they will easily be able to get tickets for away games at crewe and Tranmere.

Then put your feet up and laugh like a cunt at their suffering.

U***d are still winning cups, achieving brilliant league places and are are part of the furniture in the Champions League. Far be it for me to tell our fans what to do, but I personally will only fell any superiority over U***d when we're competing with and beating them on the same level - which, despite major leaps, we're still far far from.

I find the City fans who continually gloat about U***d's irrelevant financial 'difficulties' just as hopeless and redundant as the Green & Gold brigade. Only it's worse because, as City fans, they really should know better.

I'm right with you.

Stick the two fingers up when we have beaten them on the pitch and won something, anything. But right now it's tad embarrasing to gloat. Football isn't about who has most money but who wins most games.

Unfortunately, money and success have both gone hand in hand for some time now.

I'm not waiting around to take the piss out of U***d. I'm going to milk their downfall from BEGINNING TO END. If I'm not mistaken, this very much looks like the beginning of their demise.

we'll see about that. People have been waiting for them to give up their place in the sun for a long time and it hasn't happened. Regardless of their debt, they won the League Cup and were second in the league and did well in Champions league. We are behind them on the pitch and that's all that matters. Truth is, they probably finish above us next season as well and all this talk about us having more money will make us look silly....again.

Try living in Manchester mate. All my mates are rags and if I can gloat then I will at every chance I can get.

While your argument is fair enough, OD does NOT live in Manchester whereas LookMum does. So it doesn't really hold water. If you gloat to them and we end up behind them AGAIN and end up winning nowt AGAIN, it's you who will end up with egg in your face. I repeat, wait 'til we win something or finish above them in table. Then release the life time of frustration.

Oh, and while I love what they are doing to rags, I could never say I "love" cunts like Glaziers.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Regardless of us winning things or finishing above them is not the arguement though, its about their club in demise and in financial meltdown and if it gives me the satisfaction to gloat about this then so be it? Because not one rag fan has argued back with me about it.

There`s more to it as sven is pointing out. There`s the "we`re norwich fans and don`t know why"."why aren`t we buying anyone good anymore". "you`re not that powerful as fans really". The piss take is only simmering here in Manchester as all you have to do is listen to them and throw the odd 1 liner in as they mostly do it to themselves. We, like Blues all over the world are waiting for the big day to arrive...And yes I do LOVE Malc.

I've had the misfortune to be in a Fun Pub when their lot are playing on TV and have lost. I mean unfortunate in having to watch RAGs crying, spitting, whinging, whining and behaving like spoilt kids when they've been outplayed on the field.

It's a mentality I hope we never develop.

The best bit of this for me is that not only have the Glazers said they are not selling, but that their "oppo" Gill has started to turn on and belittle the fans. The comments that most of the fans dont even know what they are protesting about, jesus that was funny. The fucking irony of that statement was fantastic.

For years, the United commercial machine has milked every last penny out of gullible lemmings on the basis that having the latest shirt, or lapel badge, or wallpaper was symbolic of your support for the club. The fans became brainwashed into buying merchandise connected with Manchester United, whether it be munich souvenirs or cups and saucers - they milked every single last fucking pennny.

Now, the largest and most visible presence at OT is the tools with the scarves, and fuck me, is he sore that he didnt think of that a couple of years back. Personally, were I the United board now, I would ban the scarves on the grounds that they are making themselves and the club look rather silly. Its their ground, they can do what the fuck they want - why cut off the funding for the protest, as if you cant wear them in the ground, no cunt would buy them, thus no more money for MUST.

At long last, even the United hierachy are recognising what they themselves created - a worldwide fanbase of lemmings who are incapable of forming their own opinion, and worse - a fanbase that doesnt actually realise that there is a protest going on or why. Gill has affirmed that the majority of these tools are bandwagon jumping, but sounds a bit fucking hypocritical for saying so, when all of United's financial might has come from exploiting the bandwagon jumpers over the last 2 decades.

You really couldnt make it up.

I'd understand the concept of wearing Scarves whilst protesting outside the ground or sitting in a Pub - but they're paying for tickets and wearing the scarf over a Replica Shirt inside the ground.

Not one of them has the courage to stay away from the Matches.

If the united 'fans' knew anything about why the green and gold scarves are being worn then they shouldn't be in the ground next season - as they won't have renewed their season tickets to stop the Glazers.

I fully expect to see a large amount of g&g in the ground next season and I'll sit there and chuckle at the lemmings as you said!

That Gig is a poisoned chalice in Football. I note O'Neill and Moyes have both distanced themselves from it. There's only a handful of Managers who'd have the inclination to take over once Taggart leaves The Swamp in a box. I can't see him going any other way.

The Glazers simply won't sell their Cashpoint Machine.

Give it 2/3 yrs when Jose has done what he needs to do at Real, and he will sort them out - that worries me.

He could win a trophy with a pub team, his team building skills are second to none, and United could win things with a shite team if he were in charge.

He's took over Chelsea, Inter, and now Real Madrid, not exactly struggling teams! He's a good manager but I don't think he deserves as much praise as he gets. I'd love to see how he would do at a mid table club

In fairness, he built Porto up into a formidable outfit and the rumours are that the rags are his next gig after Real.

I don't have any fear of the rags in the near future, I genuinely think that they are on the slide and it was only the efforts of Rooney that got them up into what i see as a false position last term. The dependency in shrek is for all to see. Van De Saar, Scholes, Chuckle and Giggs have all to be replaced and Plug ain't the player he once was. If their financial failings hurt them, I can also see them being forced to sell a few. Their top four place next year is heavily under threat. Possibly from us.

Our own failings started with the mismanagement of the club by Swales. It's hard to see the rags healing their divisive wounds anytime soon and like it did with us, it will take its toll on them.

Somehow, I just can't see the Special One and his Matalan coat wanting the gig...far too much trouble.
