transfers are so old fashioned. it's a relic of the Aughties. i prefer getting something from what we have already if i am honest. We've got bags and bags of talent, don't we? We're the 2nd best team in the Prem on paper imho. Unfortunately for us you kick the ball and things change.

Eh Doomy, totally off topic but are you doing a Cantona impression there?

Another twist in the Dzeko story then. Looks like he could be coming to us....

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... l?ITO=1490

Edin Dzeko set for Manchester City switch: Roberto Mancini is
closing on £36m Wolfsburg ace
EXCLUSIVE By Simon Jones
Last updated at 11:10 PM on 1st June 2010

The surprise move followed the German club's announcement that the Bosnia forward was set to stay after clubs failed to meet Monday's midnight deadline for his £34m buy-out clause.
The highly rated Dzeko scored 27 goals in 46 appearances for Wolfsburg last season and had become a target for Manchester United, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Chelsea but none could match City's financial muscle.
Striking turnaround: Dzeko was expected to stay at Wolfsburg next season
Sportsmail revealed City had expressed their interest last week as they also lined up a move for Valencia's David Silva. Talks continued over the weekend and City now look to have got their man.
They had lined up a £25m deal for Dzeko last season but believed he had his heart set on a move to AC Milan and switched priorities.

Wolfsburg had expressed interest in City strikers Craig Bellamy and Roque Santa Cruz but both were reluctant to move to Germany.
Wolfsburg manager Steve McClaren will be disappointed with Dzeko's departure but will have a decent transfer kitty to launch his assault on the transfer market.
General manager Dieter Hoeness had earlier expressed delight that Dzeko was staying.
However, City's money in the end looks to have persuaded Wolfsburg it was too good an opportunity to turn down, regardless of timing.
The 24-year-old has spent three years at Wolfsburg. He has played 23 times for Bosnia, scoring 14 goals.

Dzeko, then Milner i think. Followed by Silva.

Good times. Good times.

When is that fucler Boateng going to become official? if we land the 4 i just mentioned, which i really think we will, then i think we've got only maybe 1 more to land...i wonder who?

cheers

De Rossi? Hard to imagine a "core de Roma" like him leaving Giallorossi for Eastlands! And believe me, he was very awful in the last five-six games of this season! This is the reason for me why Giallorossi lost the scudetto against Mourinho band!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

yeah, De Rossi is out of the question and sooner we forget that idea the better. Man is nationalistic nutter so he'd never leave Italy, he would never leave Rome and he rejected move to rags flat few years back.

As much as I think he'd be dream signing, this is not going to happen no matter how much money we throw at them.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

More likely Scum I reckon mate.

As for Ibrahimovic, Sport.es this morning reckons City have offered 35M euros for him but Barca dont want to sell at a loss.

Most likely bollox this one.

I have thought all along that Rags are the most likely destination. They need additions to midfield and can't afford to pay fee for anyone.

I really shouldn't be saying this and I can't reveal my sauces but I hear on good authority it's West Brom.
