I don't have any fear of the rags in the near future, I genuinely think that they are on the slide and it was only the efforts of Rooney that got them up into what i see as a false position last term. The dependency in shrek is for all to see. Van De Saar, Scholes, Chuckle and Giggs have all to be replaced and Plug ain't the player he once was. If their financial failings hurt them, I can also see them being forced to sell a few. Their top four place next year is heavily under threat. Possibly from us.

Our own failings started with the mismanagement of the club by Swales. It's hard to see the rags healing their divisive wounds anytime soon and like it did with us, it will take its toll on them.

Somehow, I just can't see the Special One and his Matalan coat wanting the gig...far too much trouble.

unfortunately, all the players mentioned will be back next season. I don't for a minute think they'd not be making top four. Probably not win the title either but certainly not fall out of top four.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think it fairly obvious that if we dislodge anyone from the top 4 next season it will be at the expense of Tottenham, while Spurs fans are talking about challenging for the title I think they are still the club that is going to struggle to maintain two seasons worth of top four form, and let's face it, if Liverpool hadn't been utter shit this season, Spuds would have finished 5th with us in 6th.

Rubbish. He won consecutive Premiership Titles with Chelsea and consecutive Serie A Titles with Inter. You simply can't argue when there's numerous Trophies lifted.

A "good" Manager! He's one of the very, very best in the business.

He is one of the best in the business but still a bad fit for our club and not an option I'd like us to consider. I'd prefer Van Gaal to him.

I'd welcome to Mourinho to follow Mancini at City like he did at Inter Milan. Take City to the next level etc.

Real Madrid will win La Liga next season.

Aside from Chelsea who appear pretty stable, Arsenal and United must be nervously looking over their shoulders at what is going on at City, Tottenham, Liverpool, and the dark horses for next season, Everton.

Arsenal and United will not have it quite so easy this time round. For the first time in a decade, they will possibly have to fight for their Champions League future next season

It seems that today the Red Knights have shelved their bid for Manchester United, citing concerns that media interest has pushed the value of the club to a vastly inflated price, and they are only prepared to buy at a "reasonable" price.

That is almost as embarrassing a climbdown as Andrew Cole "retiring" from international football.

Antti,
What the fuck has reality or truth got to do with taking the piss out of the rags?
I haven't a clue how they'll end up next season...but there is enough weight of evidence to suggest they should be frightened.
...and after they've finished chatting to me, Many of them are scared to fuclin death of the future.
As a City fan, I see it as my duty to society.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

Carl,
That post showed your wonderful powers of swearing...by inserting the word into another. I once got sent off for telling a ref that my hand ball was accifuckindental. I didn't even realise I'd said it....You are an artiste mate.

It's amazing what you can do with words...so many arrangements.

I always knew my GCSE in English Language would come in handy.

Good point from F 365's mediawatch here

If you wanted a genuine stream of bulls**t yesterday, the place to be was not pressing refresh on the FA website, but at the offical announcement of AON's sponsorship of Manchester United.

Grinning from ear to ear, AON chief exec Greg Case bigged up his Chicago-based company's deal with United as a victory for the local community.

He said: "The passion the fans have for the game, the excitement they have for the game, that is what drew us to this partnership. That is what we are so excited about...

"We are very proud to be part of this tradition and will do all that we can to be supportive of the club."

And David Gill backed up his new buddy, saying: "I hope we will be able to build a tangible legacy for the Manchester United community both here in the north west and further afield."

That's nice. We weren't there, but we can imagine they had a big hug afterwards and went for a pint of best at The Trafford. It's inspiring stuff. After all, it wouldn't do to describe the fans as simply providers of cash for the two multi-national behemoths.

Meanwhile, over on AON's website, the following excitable promise appears:

'Approximately 6.6 million shirts are sold each year (official/non-official). Provides Aon with 6.6 million "walking billboards".'
