Here is a little gem for you!

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2559/rum ... -cruz-from

That would solve a few problems!

Probably deserves a place in Chinners' Bollox as it is speculation of the highest order, the article is all if could and maybe!

Hahahaha Santa Cruz at Besiktas I could just about believe but Robinho now that would be funny...no disrespect to them but what a fall from grace that would be!

curious did we extend Pat Vieira's contract, or is he a goner?
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

Good question - one I can't answer..

I can't see it being Chelsea, with Mikel, Lampard, Ballack, Essien.. Arsenal, if he was part of the deal for Cesc then surely we would have heard and as already said, no price would be mentioned.

To me, it looks nailed on for us! The consensus that he is another defensive midfielder is not necessarily true.. it is the job he has done at Barca but that is surrounded by Messi, Xavi, Iniesta et al - I think he offers much more than that and would be a great buy, certainly better than the one for his brother!

I do wonder though what Gerrard and Torres will do now that Benitez is gone, the club has soaring debts, it's up for sale but noone wants to buy it etc...

But we havent really have we.
Barry does a great job there for England but has flattered to decieve there for us.
De Jong is a good player for breaking up play, but the rest of his game is frankly embarrassing, he should be a sub and played in certain games only.
Vieira? Have we kept him on?

Ultimately with barry and someone like Toure, they offer more than just a tackle and do offer a bit of something going forwards, so with a good link player that could work in the pl. The sooner we end our reliance on De Jong the better

I've heard from a fair few people that he's overrated but I haven't seen enough of him myself.
Anyone actually seen him in more than a handfull of games??

All I know is that if he signs, he will be off within 3 yrs, his agent is a cunt.

He has seemed ok when I seen him on TV, but that really isnt often enough to form an opinion

Can you see De Jong in any sort of top side? His distribution and shooting is totally inadequate for any team with ambition - and although youngish he appears incapable of learning from his mistakes / shortcomings.

De Jong will be on the bench next year without any shadow of a doubt

£30,000,000. No thank you.

In order of importance:

We need a new centre back, a right back and a left back.
Then we need a CREATIVE midfielder.
Then we need a new right winger so johno can go play on the left.
Then we need another 20+ goals a season striker.
Then after all this we need to change the buns on the hot dogs inside the stadium because there stupid. Even if this means making the hot dogs smaller.
Then we need to add more tomato sauce thingies because there always empty

Then after all of those things have been sorted maybe we might need ANOTHER fucking over priced la liga reject/defensive midfielder. Also we need to get rid of his fat slow ass lazy cunt brother.

As stated above his agent is a complete tosser, and I cant see City paying 35 million euros for Yaya who, I agree is a little over-rated and, lets face it, can't get a game.

The actual interview with Ona FM is reported like this:

The Toure case opens a new episode this Thursday. The player's agent, Dimitri Seluk takes as given the departure of the Ivorian in spite of the fact that Barca have set the fee at 35 million euros.

Seluk recealed in an interview with Ona FM that Toure already had an agreement with an English club - presumably Manchester City - and led us to believe that his departure will take place very shortly.

"If everything goes well, Yaya will go to England, but I can't talk about clubs precisely. We already have an agreement, and it will be resolved before the world cup", said the agent.

Seluk is disgusted by the fact that Barca want 35 million euros for their player: "It seems too much money to me. His club has shown that they want him to go, so it's not normal to ask that amount" he indicated, despite the fact that both manager Guadiola and the club have maintained that they want the player to stay.

The Ivorian's agent critcised Barca president Joan Laporta, of whom he said: "if he likes Toure so much, he can explain to him why he hasn't played much. This year we haven't even spoken once, and if he goes, it's because of that".

Yaya Toure’s agent will hold a meeting with Barcelona dealmaker Txiki Begiristain ON Friday and is hoping to pave the way for a £20m move to Manchester City.
