I reckon a thread for each game would make a lot more sense!

Im currently thinking the same about England - it's like watching pre-Mancini City from 09/10

just because he is our best player doesn't mean you have to say that he had brilliant game when he didn't.

His decision to pass to Messi when they were four against two on counter attack was nothing short of abysmal. He had player (Higuain?) wide open on his left who would've been almost guaranteed to score. Otherwise he was fairly anonymous and didn't link up with Higuain at all.

Whats that all about?
I clearly did not state any of the above and to come out with that saying i think he was great just because he plays for city is dissapointing reading.
Im entitled to my opinion on how a player performs and i certainly dont base my opinions on how a player plays just because hes a blue.
I think he played his usual 100% effort game, he worked his ass off and contributed well as far as im concerned.I never claimed he was brilliant just stated that he was very good today.

After watching nothing but football the last two days,
a few thoughts:

France: Talented as usual, but chicken without a head

Mexico: Started strong, but couldn't finish

South Africa: got lucky, defense plays well at times

Greece: Clueless, Faroe Islands could've beat them

South Korea: Tough, as usual. never say die attitude

Argentina: My favorite to win the whole thing

Nigeria: Good defense, very fast, but attack lacks bite

England: Disappointing, needs to get it together fast

US: We are more than the sum of our parts, can't back down now

Uruguay: Inconclusive result against France, but most balanced defense in the tournament.
Never touch the clowns. Let the clowns touch you!

and I was just discussing about his performance with you. I disagreed. I didn't get my 'knickers in twist' or will not lose any sleep over his game. It was just an observation.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I can't help but notice how not a single one of them gives us a chance in this match.

Fuck em, if we can't beat em, we'll get Lucas Neill to BEAT them.

Sweet. Nice shout out for your site as well. And they called you out on your accent. That was semi-funny. Also, you mentioned midfield attacking options, but Bresciano i thought was...

Playing with conviction line afterwards was funny.

If we play with the same width against Algeria that we did against the USA Johnson is going to have a field day down our right - Algeria's leftback is shite.

If we can't walk through both these teams I think we have no business being there.

Bollox, Algeria do their usual temper tantrum and are down to ten men - I was hoping this would be a draw.
