I do love you think the joke originated there, shame you weren't around or even heard of city when it did.

One of the mancityfans.net jokes that live on forever. Such as the dreaded Alves 7 goals. People were saying it at least weekly 2 years on from the original thread.
"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."

Still fucking gets dredged up now and then. I am thinking it's clueless cunts who have nothing worthwhile to say, but are too stupid and attention seeking to try reading instead of posting.

Who's everyone supporting, the European Sauerkraut-Munching Swamp Bombing Box Heads or the Thieving Boomerang Foster's Swilling Deportee's?

I'm going with the Aussies for this one.

Well i am going to suppress my natural instincts of love for all things fatherland, uber precise and orderly and swing my allegience behind the Socceroos. Oz simply have to qualify so that they can get a chance to meet the dirty cheating, diving, penalty grabbing Italians again and give them payback for 2006.

I think the Socceroos should treat this as a practice match for that forthcoming encounter and just pretend that Germany are in fact Italy.

1-0 to Oz 91min pen

in case anyone has forgotten... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/world_cup_2006/4991534.stm
here is an excerpt from the mild mannered BBC for the lazy

With the clock ticking down, Fabio Grosso marauded down the left flank and worked his way into the box before falling over Lucas Neill's prone body.

Totti kept his nerve to convert with the last kick of the game, breaking Australian hearts in Kaiserslautern.

Australia: Schwarzer, Neill, Moore, Cahill, Culina, Emerton, Wilkshire, Chipperfield, Grella, Valeri, Garcia.

Schwarzer
Wilkshere Neill Moore Chippers
Emerton Grella Culina
Valeri
Garcia Cahill

What the fuck is that!? No Kewell nor Kennedy? We don't have one forward on the pitch. Really going for a 0-0 here.

I swear to God if I ever saw Grosso walking down the street I would punch him in the testes. Was praying that he'd miss his penalty in the final.

If we somehow get out of our group I hope we draw Italy. That slimy fucker is injured this time though.

Thats a poor starting 11 from the aussies! Really think Pim should have taken tommy oar in the squad.

I've backed the Germans to win the whole thing but I've a soft spot for the aussies from my time there, don't know who to support

Bench. Lahm's at right back, Friedrich and Mertesacker in the middle. Don't think we'll see much of Boateng.

Leaving to watch the thing now. 4 years of waiting and we're going to hope Cahill scores from the one corner we're likely to win all match.

In an obviously earlier interview Pim Verbeek was asked if he was planning on using aussie's better mobility in order to break the germans down. His expression was "yeah, we aren't breaking anyone down, wait till you see our lineup"

Mertesacker and friedrich apparently (I probably got their spellings wrong) - Mertesacker is supposed to be a bit of a giant.

Martin Tyler just said something like, "The Australians back to pulling for their own national side after pulling for the US last night."
Not too sure about that.
