Yes he has nicked £230. He hedged his bets and had first card on 1-15 minutes as well so any card to either team in the first 30 minutes was a winner.

Given USA's route to the semis now, and the fact that SSN just showed the odds all the way down to chile at 35/1, is nobody tempted to have an each way flutter on USA at in excess of 40/1?

That sounds a good bet but the problem would be that it would tie peoples money up right up until the later stages rather than having a flutter on a daily basis. when it does come to the final there will be some mad bets with everybody trying to catch the leader, it will be shit or bust that day.
