Is it me or does Villa look like Peter Barlow out of Corrie?

NB. Lawro sounds like he's got some sort of lung disease.......shame.....

Did anyone see that red?

Even if he caught him I didn't see anything malicious in it, not even a yellow.

Maybe another replay will help.

Oh what a shame, another player who can't sing his national anthem and shows discontent to those watching disappears into obscurity! Is this are trait and aren't these the best players in the World?

Is it me or does every great player who goes to Real Madrid since Zidane turn to shit in major competitions? I think that team has a way of turning great players into shite. Kaka and Ronaldo two of the worlds best have both been shite this world cup.

Can everyone now finally agree Villa >>> Torres?
Still can't believe some people weren't sure they'd want to spend over the odds on him cos they were scared he wouldn't make it in the Premier League

I am hoping that we sign Torres and that both him and Barry returning from injury has affected their performances.

However I am not sure if anyone has ever said Villa wouldn't be a success, the guy is a freakish machine.

Caracking player, and loved the way that Spain seemed to play a 1-4-5-1 tonight that pushed Portugal to their limits.

Villa> Torres, Rooney,Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka, Gerrard, Xavi, Iniesta & any other of the players considered the world's best so far because he's the only one consistantly producing anything like his best football. I'm so fucking disappointed with this World Cup so far. So many players who produce such wonderful football over a season have played like they didn't want to be there or just can't get their act together. Most of the goals are down to shit disorganised defending or lucky breaks, offsides etc. Very few class moves being made against organised teams.

At least Messi has had flashes of brilliance so there's hope that he may suddenly produce the level he does for Barca. This tournament needs great players to do something great & Villa's out on his own. Can't remember anything so utterly mundane in all the years I've been watching it. No one will remember anything from this in a few years time unless it moves up a level.

What the fuck were Portugal trying to achieve today? Should have fucking stayed at home. Wankers.

Did you want Portugal to win Ted? I'm enjoying this WC and actually feel that we have had more entertainment than usual, so far. It's like WWF with the main prataganists being drawn together, England v Germany and Spain v Portugal, whilst the real players have to work to get to the final.

I personally work off the best team have to beat all others to win the cup and have no problems with what I have seen. Shame City aren't there to get into the final, but eh, we're used to it...............no?
