Yeah in theory but people have earmarked him as someone who is going to be the next gerrard/lampard - 30 million for someone who is dead on track for that I would have no qualms over paying - Ozil for example...
I don't see that capability in him personally but both Terry Venables & Peter Taylor were lavishing praise on him on tv a few weeks ago, said they expect him to reach that level & be one of the absolute top players. Both are supposed to know their stuff when it comes to young players.

I just checked and he's played nearly 250 Prem League games over 8 years. Not exactly a wet behind the ears rookie is he;o)
You dont judge the age of a player on appearences!
I think it's on how many years they have been alive, not 100% sure, hopefully someone can back me up on this...
