Do we have to pay full whack for tonight?

For those interested we played a friendly coz other team cancelled. Default 10 - 0.

Dazzler,
Our lot frightened me and I was supporting them.
Grandad Bob in goal....Awesome shot stopper, commands his area. Moves well for an dinosaur and has a sort of "Whale a save" technique...(You get the picture mate).
Svensationall...Like a 6ft, unused safety match. Plays with the grace of a trotting pony.
Ashton...Like T34 tank careering over the Russian Steppes, taking all in his way. He scared me...:-)
MarkMak...How can a player get involved in so much physical stuff...his legs move like pitons but his hair (every single bloody one) remains perfectly in place. I think he sweats hair gel.
Piccs...Like an express train leaving Piccadilly Station...Circa 1955...Puffing, chugging, panting, steaming but still keeps going.
Uwe's Duvet...Got a bit fluffed up by a friendly elbow to the mouth....but ignoring offers of a stretcher, all treatment and my remarks of "Gerrup yer soft tart"...was Traumannesque in his bravoury to carry on.
Lee Kinda...On a journey. Gave his all to the mancityfans.net cause...He's my hero...I think I'll get his name on my City shirt...(it's 1 letter cheaper than mine)

...and a fan club of 3...WW's youngest (WonderBrick?), A lovely blond lady weho is far too nice for Piccs...(nbut obviouslt goes for older looking men...that leaves me out then)...and me!....AND NO SISTER OF FU...TRAITOR. LEAVING HER MEN TO FIGHT HER CAUSE BUT GIVING NO LEADERSHIP!!!!...In fact they seemed to be better off without her...:-)

The Cardiac rehab people have allowed me into the gym next week...so I was thinking about enrolling Burt, Douglas "H", Walshawe Blue, Crossan, into my Youth Academy.

Having seen all but Ashton in action I would have to agree with your wonderfully described assessments.

Talking points.
1. Wonderbrick. LOL!!
2. Piccs is still with the lady. Noice. He's still playing with fire though.

John you are a cheeky bad man. The only one to get a pleasant word was my bird you sly ols goat that you are!
I thought we played so much better again last night. They were a far better mob than we lost to last week. They were quicker, stronger and all but one of them could play. Even the ZZ Top reject was ok. Remember they play in the top league every week and we beat them convincingly. We should take a great deal of encouragement from that.
Bob was better than ever in goal and "Uwe's" makes a huge difference to us.
What I'm hoping we can learn to do next is kill games off. We were five or six up at half time but still wanted to fly at them, leaving ourselves wide open on more than one occasion. We are good enough to retain possession, move the ball around and go back to the keeper if necessary...Every pass doesn't have to be the killer ball. There is not one of us who isn't comfortable with the ball, so let's keep it, and leave the oppo shagged out and fed up from chasing us around.

T'was a good run out last night and against a top flight team, although they are NOT anything like a top flight team as they have lost all their games this season, but only by the odd goal or two, so they are not tooooo bad. We played very well and apart from the odd lapse of trying to beat too many men instead of playing the easy ball, it was very impressive gents.

With a good game next week we can possibly be 3rd place. We have NO Sven, Piccs or Lee next week so thats a big loss.

Team so far for next week is:

WW
Ashton
Uwe's
MarkMak
Blue Moon Awoken?????
Mr Fu
French Tony????
A.N.OTHER?
