Because we still fucking own him.
The question is still valid ............. Why the fuck have you got Robinho in there?
OK. I actually think that with a much stronger team overall this year, we are more able to afford a luxury player like him, particularly if someone like Kolarov is behind him, who looks like a good strong defender.

Fair enough :-)
Personally, I wouldn't have him near the stadium let alone the field of play though.

Link doesn't lead me to anywhere.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Hodgsons comments after having met with Torres. Liverpool obv want to keep him, but nothing in there saying the player is committed to the club.
http://menmedia.co.uk/manchesterevening ... t_for_saleSpeaking at his team's pre-season training camp, Hodgson said: "I have met with Fernando.
"I found him to be a very pleasant man and we had a nice conversation.
"As far as we are concerned he is a Liverpool player and we want him to remain a Liverpool player.
"He is not for sale and we don't welcome any offers for him. We want to keep him.
"My conversation with him was only short because I had to leave to come to the training camp in Switzerland.
"We spoke about football, the World Cup, his injury, and I told him how much I am looking forward to working with him.
"Christian Purslow [managing director] was also at the meeting and chatted to Fernando for a lot longer after I left but my chat with him was only about football matters."

Same here, on topic of Kolarov I think he would be a mint signing. He has good attacking prowess and isn't scared of crunching peoples bones in his tackles. I like his style.

Wonder what Christian Purslow was talking to him about? How to build a brick barbecue perhaps? Growing miniture pears? Robbie Williams re-joining Take That? Can't have been about the possibilty of him leaving, not after what Roy's been told.

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti insists he knows nothing of a scheduled meeting to discuss Mario Balotelli's future.
The teenage striker has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester City, with the club's executives said to be in Italy to negotiate a deal.
Moratti, though, has moved to quash such suggestions, saying he has heard nothing of a proposal from the Premier League club.
"I promise I know nothing," he told the club's official website.
"I have no information regarding that (meeting). I had other things I had to do in the past few hours."
Moratti did not deny that City had expressed an interest in the talented striker, whose contract with Inter runs for another three seasons.
"Does Roberto Mancini want our striker? I imagine so," he said. "But don't ask me, because for the time being I have no information."

Fuck all to do with Woy though. He only spoke about the weather, price of eggs, and how much he enjoyed his world cup. Never even asked him if he wants to play for him. That's Purslow's dept. Ridiculous.

alright, maybe it is a bit more fantasy football than reality. I am just secretly hoping we play more attacking football than last year! If we shore up the middle a bit more with de Jong or Barry though, we could end up being quite narrow in the middle. Unless we play with 1 up front, which I would hope we don't.

judging by the way we ended the season mate and the fact we have an italian in charge, i for one won't be holding out for attacking football. expect plenty of 1-0 leads thrown away at the death this season.

With the number of attack minded players we're going to have, we'll have to attack at least half the time.

Ibra plans Barca stay
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is adamant that his long-term future lies at Barcelona, despite reports to the contrary.
The powerful frontman continues to be linked with a host of top clubs across Europe, with a switch to the Premier League widely touted.
Manchester City and Chelsea are reported to have expressed an interest in the Swedish striker, with big-money raids in the pipeline.
There appears to be little in the speculation, but Ibrahimovic's future at Camp Nou remains a topic of much discussion.
He failed to produce the level of performances expected of him following a high-profile switch to Catalunya last summer, and has since seen David Villa added to Barca's formidable attacking arsenal.
However, he insists that he has no plans to leave the club and remains fully committed to Pep Guardiola's side for 2010/11.
"I was a Barca player when I left (to go on holiday) and I'll be a Barca player when I go back," Ibrahimovic said at a press conference to announce his return to the Sweden national team.
He added: "I have four years left on my contract."
Ibrahimovic has also taken a swipe at those who continue to report that he is poised for an imminent exit from Camp Nou.
"I want to congratulate everybody that has used my name, because it's fun to have been at Chelsea, at Manchester City, without having been there," he added.
