Top 4 Predictions 2010/11

Postby Invisible Man Fan » Tue Jul 20, 2010 10:03 pm

Looked back at a few threads and couldn't see this anywhere.....given that we have signed a few players now and that the season is not far away.....what do you reckon the top 4 will look like come May??

I reckon it'll look something like this.

1. Chelsea
2. U****d
3. City
4. Arsenal

As much as I'd love to put us a) above the scum and b) top of the league, I just can't see that happening just yet
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

I suppose it really depends on who else we bring in, as it stands at the moment I'd go with those four, if we get some of the player's we're linked with then I'd go for the same four but not necessarily in that order.

1...City
2...Chelsea
3...Arsenal
4...L'Pool

Maybe a bit of wishful thinking there but we have the squad...so...WHY NOT?
...and i still think that the trannie and shrek have papered over the cracks and got the rags through the last three seasons. I think this year it could all go shite for the rags.

1.Chelsea
2. United
3. City
4. Arsenal

I think we'll be right at the top of the table for a while, but at some point, I think we're going to be done in by a lack of experience at being in a sustained title chase.

1. Tevez won't be top scorer.
2. Robinho will stay.
3. Well win the fa cup
4. Well lose at home by the 5tg game.

I think there's some wishful thinking not putting Scum in the top four. There is much more likelihood of us winning the league than them not in the top four. I think it may be a very close:

1) City
2) Scum
3) Chelski

4) Any of Spuds, Arse, Scouse 1, Scouse 2

1) Chelsea
2) U**
3) City
4) Arse / Spurs if Fabregas leaves

Barring Blackburn, I don't think any team has come from nowhere to win the prem. I can see next season as being a dry run for the one after in that we've got a European campaign as well as the domestic competitions and I reckon that it will be a challenge for Roberto in sorting out his teams for the various competions. That said, if we got off to a decent start, who knows where we could go. The only thing we lack is the mental experience of challenging for the title, once we get that we'll be sorted

I reckon the top 4 will consist of

Chelsea
United
City
Liverpool

I reckon with one or 2 more players, the top three names there could finish in any order.
Liverpool will be like a new squad next season with Aquilani kicking in, and joe cole behind torres.

If we dont beat the rags home and away in the league and giving them a going over in one of the cups, ill be pissed off.
Those results last year still hurt.

That's my prediction as well. I guess it depends on whether Fabergas stays and what Arsenal end up brining in, but just looking at their squad both us and Spurs are stronger, in my opinion.
