Mancini just interviewed in NYC and when asked about the possuibility of Landon Donovan signing he replied that he was a player he would be interested in.
Any thoughts anyone?

That's the one mate. We are trying to woo the American crowds and what doesn't go down well is telling them that their Star player is not good enough for our team.

Well done Mancio, maybe next year eh?

Yeah will do no harm as it will get City plenty of media attention while on tour in the States. If he was asked the same question at home i have a feeling the answer might be slightly different.

I would take him. Maybe a loan for a season with a view to buy. I think he had a decent time at Everton and World Cup and a good squad player for a long season ahead. Rather him than Milner tbh.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Can anybody confirm that Mancio stated that he is trying to sign Donovan, as Sky are reporting?

As far as I am aware all this has eminated from a press conference in New York when RM in answer to a question from a yank reporter said he may be interested in signing donovan prior to the deadline.

This would seem a good piece of buisness and I don't even like the guy. Scum have their Park Ji Sung who comes out of the woodwork for an occasional cup game every now and then, and Donovan has a similar attitude to him. By no means would he be a locker room disturbance, and he seems a hard worker. I definetly wouldn't lose sleep if we don't seal it, but he also wouldn't be a bad signing.

Was he answering an English question in English, by any chance? (and was Pratt anywhere to be seen hovering nearby ready to translate?). This has 'lost in translation' written all over it.

I'd go with that, as a squad player who we only bring out against Everton!

It would be fun to have another American here. ( For me at least).

But where in the world would he play? As much as I like the guy, don't think he's better than AJ, Bellers, or Silva.

I was shocked at how well he played v us. I watched the replay of it & I couldn't decide if he was good or we were totally shite but he was certainly better attacking than our defenders were defending.

He'd be a squad player if we did sign him.

I like him as a player, think he'd be a good squad player and he'd probably be happy to be that
