That is a quality finish. You've got to have some confidence in yourself to pull that off

That was a top penalty, the keeper saying that's not allowed lol.

I've rewound and watched that half a dozen times and I'm still amazed by it. What a technique

seriously, that's the sort of stuff me and mates always tried to pull when we were kids. Sometimes we actually pulled it off as well.
That said, if I were to try it now, I'd probably miss the ball completely with my left foot, instead tripping my right and falling on my face.

I've done that a few times in some games as a pass. really fools the opposition. I have no idea how he got that much power with it though!
I remember Henry doing it a while ago.

I thought touching the ball twice in a set-play was illegal?
I remember it being outlawed years ago after a player I can't recall the name of used to flick the ball up and volley it during free-kicks.

That is goooood.
Pretty simple if you think about it though. Vary the stride with a pre-conceived over-stretch and bang. Probably gave him 'the eyes' too.

Its not so much the technique I find amazing, its having the balls to do it in a proper match situation.
You could practice that a hundred times and still fuck it up badly when it came to the real thing.

If people try to copy it, someone will get it horribly wrong!
I remember, in a freindly game v City, George Best conspiring with another rag & just passing the ball sideways, rag ran in took ball toward goal, keeper came out, rag passed it back to Best who stuck it in empty net. Is that allowed or is there a rule which covers it?

Like Gary Linneker's last England penalty, to equal Charlton's scoring record. Muppet.
And matey who played for Leicester that they made that funny video about after the play-offs!
Strangely I can remember Soccer AM visiting us for a penalty masterclass and how to take penalties, different styles, different corners etc, given by one Sir Joseph Barton - my God I was impressed! Unfortunately it's about the only thing he's ever done that's left a positive impression!

I never understood exactly what happened with the Henry thing as the ref blew for...something? I don't know what. Had forgotten about the other one but that's exactly what Best did.
