We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. Pretty Impressed really, not fantastic, but they are looking better than they have been doing

Obviously, the youth lads aren't involved tonight, barring Boyata, but overall its been pretty encouraging

Johnson was on fire with his running in the first half, I can't wait for the season to begin.

Neck on the block here, after seeing yaya in a few matches now he's no dm, he's like a big black xavi, he seems to sit in the mid and spray absolute peach perfect passes.

He's a midfield general folks and im very impressed with him so far!

Very impressed with AJ that half, even more so when he switched to the left. WHy isn't Ireland playing? The american commentators here seem to at least have a semblance of knowledge about the game unlike those idiots in New York.

Yeah thats the difference between fox soccer channel and espn. The espn commentators have gotten SO much better this past year, they actually came across as very knowledgeable during the world cup... Fox soccer channel is completly clueless, I swear they get their news from tribalfootball!

Better again which is a good sign. Much much more posession and we/yaya are controling the game.

Yaya is bossing the midfield. Exactly the kind of player we have been missing

Jonno bright, Barry is playing off Yaya nicely.

Nice to see some of my least favourite tactics appearing again with Shaun on the left and 2 withdrawn midfield players in a 5 man midfield. Hopefully Mancini is practicing our Chelsea away formation today. Very cautious.

I completely agree, if he can do for us what Xavi does for barca then he'll be very valuable this season

Did you notice them in the NYRB game, Hart went off at half time, but they continued to say Hart everytime taylor touched the ball, absolutely clueless

Better showing from the boys, hopefully we're only going to tweak the team.

And they kept saying every pass was brilliant before they knew whether it was or not, plus they were blowing smoke up Bridge's arse and everybody was brilliant, just made me laugh.

This might well have been because both Hart and then Taylor when he come on were wearing the number 12 shirt. Not a reason to get them mixed up I know, but it might be the excuse.
