No matter how that is solved, This family stand thing was always going to be a epic fail.

You would imagine that those leaving (or being forced out of) the familiy stand would get priority over those seats in other parts of the stadium that are being vacated through people becoming skint, watching pearce style football or simply croaking it. Some clarification would be nice.

What pisses me off is the fact that the club will not sell you your own seat in the family stand without having a kid in tow. What happens when your kid is young, it's a freezing winters night and it's a euro game that could go to penalties. I live 40+ minutes drive from the club. Add that to the time it takes to get out of the stadium and the car park and you could be looking at 12.30am before you get through the door at home. Under those circumstances I'd leave the child at home and bring a mate instead.

I'm not in the family stand, btw...but I was contemplating the switch from East due to costs.
Has the world gone mad, ..............or is it me?

I don't think even the club knows. This case hasn't been thought through imo.

I was considering getting a season ticket with my boy who is 8 in September in the family section but this really puts me off cos we definitely wont be able to get to cup games midweek with school.

In the beginning City came across all "customer focussed" we had Chris Nield on here from time to time and focus groups n stuff. Now, even with all the "City Street" stuff the club is getting to look more and more corporate and distant from fans, the shirt launch fiascos reinforce that feeling for me.

I hope that in turning into the biggest club in the world they dont forget where they come from. They dont have a big enough fan base to start pissing everyone off just yet. Come on Cook. Sort it out or I will be after your job.

It's a business, we all know that but fans are not customers, we are fans, we cant take our business anywhere else but don't take the fuckin piss.

Thanks

This is a very good post pal, very good indeed.

Nield was last spotted watching training, making movies in New York filming bus stops and buses.
How about putting peoples concerns over to the powers that be,You know like it used to be.

The link has dried up and 1 million friends on Facebook dont mean shit IMHO.

Just a thought.

You only had to look at the original idea to see it was fraught with problems. The club appear not to have thought it through. They need to cut people some slack. What difference does it make if your nipper doesn't turn up for the game? Are folk suddenly going to turn into raving loons? Very poor idea.

I believe this to be the case. If we get to the situation where there is a season ticket waiting list of a few thousand then it could mean that the parents and boy end up without a ticket and at the bottom of the waiting list despite being a seasonticket holder for the current year. They need to review this rule before we do start getting a waiting list.

I seriously doubt that would be the case, for a start I think the policy at the club is to never completely sell the capacity to Season Cards. They would simply have to relocate and the seats in the Family stand would go into the general sale pot.

As for the original issue, surely the rule is two adults per one child so even if you had all booked together you still wouldn't have qualified. Otherwise though very poor customer service and you should definitely complain about the dodgy advice resulting in you being hit by the price hike.

The rule is 4 adults per kid I think according to the blurb from the club earlier in the summer
