This seasons match ticket prices.

Okay, this is taking the piss, after i (like thousands of others) have spent years following this club showing loyalty and support through times of general shiteness and strife, i think it would be fitting for the club to take the same stance for us, in our time of need, in this time of walletly tightness it would be nice if the club saw fit to NOT rip us off for games. i have decided not to have a season ticket (for the first time in 7 years) this season due to work commitments means i was and am not making it to anywhere near as many games as i was. i now go to the games i can - or that was my plan until they wanted me to stump up £50 for my normal seat! this is taking the piss beyond extreme, now i am 26 so I no longer qualify for a young persons rail card (I know this isn't the clubs fault ;o) ) so its going to cost me over £30 for a train ticket. this is £80 stumped up for before I leave North Wales! IMO this takes the piss big style, i feel gutted and let down, i will now not be going to the home game at Liverpool as I can not justify spending that amount when i have a family and mortgages to feed. thing is I now feel like some half baked armchair fan who "isn't really a proper supported as i don't go to games" i am just going to end up as an armchair "Fan"

i am going to Valencia game by the way, £15 is a bargain.

is there a comprehensive list anywhere of ticket prices / categories?

It is harsh but I'm sure that last season you'd have expected SC holders to be looked after first?

We've done pretty well over the last few years at resisting the Premier League inflation rate but this will no doubt become the norm now that cockend Platini has launched his crackpot plans. We have to be generating enough revenue to pay the crazy salaries we've had to fork out to kick start our rise

if you move even farther away, say northern scotland or holland, it will be too expensive to even consider going to games, and instead of feeling like an armchair fan for not going, you will fell immensely proud the one or two times a season that you do go. problem solved ;-)

£50 will seem like fuck all when you see Torres line up against his old club. ;o)

I suspect the prices will only get higher from now on. All this spending does come at a price, I suppose. having said that, I think our gates wouldn't even make a dent in our wage bill so I see little point in hiking up the price.

I suspect Liverpool at home on the first day of the season will be the most expensive game, along with the rags and Chelski.

I stand/sit in the cheap seats it's the only way to keep the costs down, plus i live really close to the ground which helps.
Im sorry to hear that the game is fifty notes,i guess thats the price of having big names and watching big games.

I know one day im going to be forced out because of cost, lets just hope weve won a few pots before i am.

Took me a while to log in to see my account because it wouldn't recognise my postcode (I don't have one), eventually had to reregister.

I can only guess that tickets to other matches will be cheaper. It's only one match, you were always going to be missing some without a seasoncard.

This is why you should always keep your SC. Although the initial outlay can be a pain for some, the benefits are all there to see. For me, it works out about £22 per game which I feel is one of the best value prices in the Premier League, and possibly the rest of football for what we are now seeing and getting.

On a similar note, I read on the OS that if you don't renew you will lose Loyalty Points. Anyone had any experience of this?

Thanks for sorting the error message Dan, before the suicides on here started to build up!

I could probably afford the ST, but no way the travel anymore. When we used to come to every match I had a company car and paid £50 per month fuel contribution only - top deal!

However a trip to one match is now like planning a Ryanair break to Spain, cost wise (no joking).

I bet your company car was more comfy than a ryanair plane though hey?

£50 sheets is a little excessive...it's hardly like our fanbase lives in a Chelsea postcode

Many thanks for the offer mate, thing is it can be late when i decide to go :O(

the Euro games should be ok though, they are normally cheap this side of Christmas. also away games that go to city card holders might fit the bill!
