He only paid 18 mil cos our board let him.

He is no longer employed here and most agree it was a ludacris fee.

That said he won't get that much to spend on him at fulham so we can either be spiteful and keep a player that apparenty nobdy rates or get a bit of our cash back.

I'd personally keep him, but not just out of some phony outrage.
Tracking back is overrated.

eggggggsactly

bloody hypocrites

one minute he's literally the worst striker in the world AND made of glass and incapable of bringing anything to the team

next minute he's got a market value in excess of 10 million

as PBL says, Hughes isn't the one who agreed to pay the fee.....yes he wanted the player and pursued him (excessively) relentlessly....but someone at MCFC sanctioned the fee.

If he's as shit as many on here think they should be happy for us to let him go on a free

Because, to get the player off your books, saves the club £12M over the course of the remaining years of his contract?

Absolutely.

If anyone really is willing to take over his contract so that we don't have to pay him off, which would normally be the case if player doesn't ask for transfer, and would actually pay 6m on top of that then get rid. Like Is aid when we signed him, this would become "Danny Mills" over the time.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

It seems to have gone quiet on the striker transfer front, and so if nobody does get brought in I'd be happy enough for him to stay. I still think he has some ability if he could by some miracle stay fit. We should hopefully have enough cup games to give him match time and fill in for either Carlito or Ade when injured or suspended. He does have some goals in him I think.

Take the 6 and factor in the wages.

Yes please Mark.

Cant believe we are debating this.

That Hot Chocolate album was worth £2.98 yet its only worth 25p at the rummage sale. Currently its worth fuckall at the garden fete and frees up space.

Most owners of that album still believe in miracles though and ask a pound for it.

All they do at City's Medicals is a quick leg count.

If the number is higher than 1 they pass.

As nice as it would be to recoup £6m for santa shit, I'd tell Hughes to fuck off.
He paid £18m of our money for this guy, and now has the cheek to say he is only worth £6m? Fuck that.
We want £10m minimum, or walk away.

I thought he looked poor in the WC but for much of the time he seemed to be played in a wide role which was w eird. Linked up ok at times but I didn't see him do anything in the areas you might expect.

Why exactly do people immediately believe what a crap paper says Hughes has bid for RSC or even that he has bid at all. Oh I forgot it gives the chance to get the slagging off posts out.

The Star can be forgiven for printing it - typical lazy Jounos not even having to get out of bed to make that 'leap' of a connection

But only those with an agenda would really want to leap on it - bit lazy as well but they can not resist the opportunity

Actually when you look beyond the obvious that is the limitation of the Star it is unlikely

The amount we paid for RSC and the package he is likely on would probably mean that he is out of reach for Fayed - there is much better value out there with less risk
