Mate you want get any sympathy on the board.
The general opinion is that Pre season means jack all despite the fact were shipping goals like a siv and scoring fuck all,all while looking like a team of strangers.
Mancini has got his work cut out to gel this lot sharpish, plus we may have two more recruits soon.

Barcelona didn't have too bad a season after we beat them at the Nou Camp last season so there's hope for us yet

I have absolutely no sympathy, will people never learn. Red bull x fighters on dave is much more fun.

I'm gonna make sure I'm so pissed on saturday that I don't remember watching the game, I surprised myself by even bothering going saturday tbh, now I'm thinking of reasons to stay in town on the piss

All the goals tonight have been defend-able. Thought the first pen was a touch harsh, ours was sloppy goalkeeping. Missed the second pen. Their lad shot through a few legs from a tight angle, but still defendable, and the ball broke loose for their third.

I don't think we've done too bad, although we've lost impetus with the changes. We have four chaps to come In, plus jo has been an interesting addition to the teammthus far.

My commentator spoke German but it came handy. 'Cos WC means the loo and that sums up the performance.

Kolarov looked decent,
Micah half decent too.

Defence is still very suspect

Ah well, nevermind eh..... thought we looked better tonight than we have done for most of pre-season.... amittedly the results dont matter at all, but you always want your team to win no matter what the occasion. Take a look at last seasons pre-season results.... we lost to Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Rangers, and we drew against Barnsley!!! We beat Celtic and Kaizer Chiefs and that's it, but we didn't have too shabby a season did we?

Boateng must have a chance to play at centre back as we are still as suspect as ever there. Lescott looks like he is carrying excess timber and Kolo is Kolo. I'm just putting it down to the mentality and intensity levels as I'm sure they will be up a notch or two come the 14th. Does anyone actually think there maybe negativity in the camp from players who do not have much of a future at the club??

It would explain some of the lazy attitude but then you dont give 100% for a friendly do you? id be giving 100% in every game and just not flying into tackles to avoid injury to me and other players.

Thought Kolarov's delivery and burst of pace were first class all night, he didn't deliver one poor set piece. Ireland sprayed some nice passes around when he came on and Shaun looked menacing at times in the first half. Bellamy did too when he came on, and Jo showed determination that he never did first time round.

Otherwise, we were a bit of a shambles. Richards and Zabaleta after him were lackadaisical in key positions, neither Kolo nor Yaya looked particularly strong, Yaya's pass to set out SWP off for our goal was top class but otherwise no contribution of note, Kompany got the run-around a good few times. Barry was totally anonymous most of the time, and when he did get a foot on the ball, seemed determined to make as complicated a pass as possible when there were three or four easier options. Can't remember Santa Cruz doing anything, literally.

Wouldn't be getting too wound up just yet, but defensively there's cause for concern. The only thing is, we played brilliant football in short bursts of 5 minutes at a time here and there, I'm hoping that's a glimpse of what's to come and that with more application and focus they'll play in that manner all the way through games.

Hopefully we'll get as close to a strongest XI as possible on Saturday, can't wait to see Silva in particular. But just like it'd be crazy to think we're heading for a title charge after winning 3-1, it's crazy to think it's the end of the world because we lost. Poor performance, yes, but we'll know on the 14th of August whether they're real concerns or not.
