The stadium was open in 1963... we can't "Dan Paltinisanu" with Eastlands. But if u come at this stadium an feel that atmosphere when 35.000 peopels jump at the same time u will like it. Gypsies are in Molodova and Bucharest... We like to say that Banat (our region) is not Romania... if u google 5 minutes Timisoara u will find that we are the first iluminate city with electricity from whole Europe and many other things.

You're wrong. It's not fc timisoara it's not 2002. It's POLI (Politehnica) Timisoara and it was formed in 1921. It's a very big confussion with our record. Some italian trash stole our record so now we are in a "fight" with him at the court. 100% we will win and we will be again Poli Timisoara since 1921.

fcuking flights are a nightmare !!cheapest i've got is over 700euros from geneva to timiosora !! fcuk where is ryanair when they're needed i found a flight 300 odd euros to bucarest didn't know it takes 8 hours from there !!

Hei lads, Cheers from Romania. I`m fan of City for over 15 years.The city of Timisoara isn`t near my town, but i will surely cheer the blues from the stands.
What can i say about Timisoara ? Well, the team is very weak, they have a lot of problems in the club. The owner what`s to sell the club because the city doesn`t want to help the team. The previous season was a poor season for them,they were lucky to reach the Europa League, because they played awfull.
This season they drawn home with 2 mediocre teams : Bistrita and Gaz Metan, both ended 2-2. The most important quality so far this season is that they had a great comeback in every game.
The manager is new, he is from Serbia. The team. Well the keeper is Pantilimon, huge player, almost 2.05, he was monitored by Juventus and Arsenal, and then he started loosing the team. Then they have Contra, the old Romanian right back. Defenders Cisovsky,Luchin and Sepsi (al 3 mediocre). Midfielders : Bourceanu and Alexa defensive midfielders. Alexa is one nasty player, a dirty lad, like Rob Savage. The they have Curtean, Alexe (Alexe may be a future good player). And the forwards : Goga and Magera. The first is quick and very dangerous, the other is tall, like Adeba, but very agile with the ball. Overall, Timisoara is a mediocre team this season, but keep in mind they can produce some problems with big teams. They eliminated last year Shakhtar in UCL.
I hope City will win.

there are not 2 difrent teams. That FC Timisoara is POLI TIMISOARA. The FC Timisoara name is since 2008 when we had this problem with the record.

It's in the Danube gorge. Got a massive, and pretty decent, university, too. Plus, good connections with Novi Sad and Belgrade, which may be worth looking for flights to (JAT airlines) as a cheaper option. Both about 4-6 hours away by bus/train.
