Yesterday's Presser - Observations

Postby ant london » Sat Aug 07, 2010 5:41 am

Very amusing in parts....liked Mancini's comments that three of the players were big and strong....and then telling Silva that he's obviously not big and strong but he's a great player. Then the quote that he will have no problem managing Balotelli...."i have managed Tevez and Bellamy" haha

The blue tracksuit top is the schnizzle isn't it....defo want that bad boy!

Also...Yaya seems like a very confident guy who certainly knows his mind....another in the De Jong, Kompany mould for the dressing room, seems like someone who will be a very positive influence on mentality.

Excited to see Silva in action....wonder if he is the player in whom Mancini most sees himself in?? Comforting to hear that Mancini has been after him for 5 years.

Finally....new sponsors....and finally non-ADUG owned ones....Malmaison, Jaguar, Heineken......as well as Aabar which we knew about.

Top end sponsors for City these days!

Silva looks like a complete downy while yaya is chatting away at the start

The jackets are smart but the amount of people i saw wearing them yesterday at the open day has pretty much gauranteed i wont be buying one

Even though it was only training yesterday silva looks so much quicker than any other player there, especially with the ball at his feet.

Mancini made the point about physical size when he brough Vieira in. I think he wants to make sure we're physically big enough to match the Everton's & Stokes. Imo it was one of the biggest mistakes Hughes made; signing & also playing too many shortarses in too many games. Almost all the killer goals against us were headers, right up to the Spurs game.

Thought they all handled the questions put at them very well..Specially Silva.Seems like an intelligent bloke. He could have wore a better fitted shirt.Looked a proper scruff ha.
Kolorov is a beast of a man..Wouldnt like a smack off him anyway :-$
Overall 4 excellent signings and well done to the City staff for bringing them in.
With Mario and Milner on the way..Ive not been so excited to the start of a season ever.
