I've heard that Taylor will ask to leave the club if he isn't played on a regular basis.
I heard Taylor threatened to leave the club if they played him!!

Having two goalkeepers at the very very top level is simply not fair on the players. I would have no hard feelings for whoever lost out in the fight wanting to move on - particularly Given who has only got a few years left, who would not want to be spending it on a bench.
Whoever loses out is likely to leave imo, and with time on his side, I think Given to Arsenal is the most likely outcome.

Lot of truth in this it seems

You would think with all the league and cup games we could keep them both happy..Never a dull moment.

If true.......we have a pair of right cunt's and they need to be told that they will FUCKING DO AS THEY ARE TOLD TO DO AND IF THAT MEANS ONE OF THEM BEING ON THE BASTARD BENCH FOR SOME GAMES, THEN SO BE IT.
THIS REALLY GRATE'S ME.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

If we can only keep one, I'd rather have Hart as he's the younger man. Even though Shay may be a tiny bit better than him right now.
If we do sell him though, I hope we have the sense not to give him to Arsenal. A good keeper could really help them out I think.

They both need to pull their heads out of their arses and have some faith in their team mates to keep them involved in the cups this season - there's enough games for two keepers easily with some decent runs.

Hart is nowhere near as good as Given at this point in his career...would be madness to let one of the best keepers in the Prem go...especially to Arsenal!!

To be fair they don't all have the quality here/coming in that we do...not many clubs can boast two world class keepers

I think Hart's problem is at the moment he thinks he's better than he actually is. No doubt he's got the potential and ability to be a quality goalkeeper, maybe even the best in the league, but at the moment he's not. I think having his head filled with shite from McScottish at Birmingham hasn't helped one bit.

its seem both keepers are a bit unreasonable, we'll have 4 competitions to play for and mancini expects to challenge for all competitions. i guess having 2 great keepers will have its consequences and thinking that taylor would be 2nd choice if one of them leaves is a dreadful. i hope mancini finds a solution.

Now really, I'm all for hyperbole and everything but when the hell did Joe Hart become a "world class keeper". Honestly.

Given beat down Hart when they contested the position under Hughes and has done a stellar job ever since. To drop him would be no reasonable sense and would (in my opinion) purely be down to media pressure and appeasing the fans for giving an "english" player a chance. He'd be right to leave if he was dropped for those reasons and he'd go to Arsenal and kick the shit out of city then.
So I hope Mancini is smart and doesn't let that cunt hart anywhere near the team until he deserves to be, which is a long way away from what I've seen.

He's a whiny bitch not willing to fight for his place, he lost his place in the first place because he wasn't good enough. He couldn't get a minute at the world cup behind a 40 year old and robert fucking green. He came back and played like muck in pre-season and he still has the neck to say that if hes not playing hes off somewhere else. The sooner he realises he's not fucking good enough to play first team for a top club the better player he'll be at the end of it.
Shay's a good friend of Dunney and the significance of him getting replaced and shown the door for an overhyped, underperforming Lescott purely because of his nationality won't be lost on him. Dunne went on to have a significantly better season than Lescott. If the same happens to Given he'll know the cowboy Cook is at his old tricks again and he won't be hanging around.
