i can't see MON in the Prem early in the season. it's just too late...he'll take off the year and be a pundit and wait for his chances. i respect him for walking away.

Contrast this to the "who is in control at our football club?" threads we've been discussing. MON clearly isn't OK not being in complete control. And hats off to him for making a stand i suppose.

Good times for City...that's a loaded Villa squad but only about 70% as capable without him at the helm.

cheers

Feel bad for MON, nice man and an old fashioned manager with old fashioned beliefs like trust in his players. Anyone whos ever gone there hes treated them well. But this is in no way Man City's fault, they're entitled to bid for players its Milner's fault for being a money grabbing twat and forcing his move or possibly the chairman for undermining his position. Aston Villa are in right shit now.

luckily none of those occurred as they would've been perfect matches.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Something must be seriously wrong at Villa. Lately we've had loads of speculation about Milner and Young, and with their defensive injuries (basically all the back four) I reckon he's finally flipped at the lack of input from Randy.

To be fair though, Randy Lerner has put a lot of money into Villa and backed O'Neill to the hilt, can sort of understand if he now feels he needs a return or ask the manager to sell before he buys.

On a personal note, I don't like the bloke and feel he's thrown the toys out of the pram, dummy as well.

MON will be back at Celtic before the end of the season. He was making noises about going back there last week which seemed strange.

Personally, id say fair play to the feller for walking if he is going to be left with an inferior squad to that which he finished last season. That should only really be happening to clubs who are struggling for cash, which by all accounts Villa are not.

Some "informed" ex playing cunt has already been on sky and blamed it on City for acting like bullies.

What fucking difference does it make, if a 2nd division club has a potential star, the premier league club come and take the player away by waving wads of cash. If city, who have more money and ambition than Villa do the same, then where is the fucking difference, except that a big city club's fans make a lot more noise than say, Bury or Oldham's fans would.

Fuck em, fucking wankers. Pathetic timing from MON that he knew full well he was losing Milner since May, and leaves the club in the lurch with 5 days to go - that says more about O'neil than about us, Milner and VIlla's board

agree mate.

some villa fan wrote:I have a feeling that MON's tenure at the helm of AV maybe drawing to a close hence the truly glacial pace of transfer activity.

got that off a villa board - maybe we will see some movement re milner imminently? also, the majority on the board i looked at did not seem too upset, but fuck them anyway.

bad news for City if true. the last thing we need is a stronger Spurs at the expense of a weaker Villa tbf.

this is going to be a really exciting season...can't believe these INTL friendlies are clogging up this week. such fuclin garbage. just insane. i should be jacking my cock every day to player moves, manager gripes, mind games, player interviews, etc...and we'll get very little of that in the buildup...sad. instead we get these stilted fucled up things like Shay telling the Irish he sorta kinda might wanna maybe fucl off if things dont go well, maybe. it's chicken feed, and i need some real protein.

cheers

I think the resignation of O'Neill could potentially slow down this whole transfer.

you reckon? in my head i've squared it as the endgame of the transfer - fee agreed, personal terms agreed etc.

MON: ok boss, so with that 26million i was thinking we could bid for a new forward, a left-back and we could also use some of it to pay some poor fools to take heskey off of us"

RL: stick with heskey, we'll get marlon king in and thinking about it martin, didn't you play full-back? problem solved!
