The horrible media

You know the ones, the ones who are all anti City, out to get us and all that. Trying to ruin our attempts at success by making up stories about us. Everyone one of them to a man apparently except the ones who were writing ‘quality journalism’ and saying good things about us.

So now that in the past week we have had direct quote from Given, Bellamy, Hart and Adebayor all hinting that they will be off the minute the going gets tough and confirming what the press have been reporting all summer that this is not a happy ship.

Just wondering if people still think they are still out to get us or is it possible they were just reporting the drips and drabs coming out of our club probably directly from the players after all.

to me it's the gullibility of the (majority) of players in not being capable of realising the leading questions that some of these hacks use. the reality is that the journos need controversy whatever it may be to sell papers - whether it's tevez, torres or whoever, a player who's led into giving an answer that can be, shall we say manipulated is gold to the media.

come on mate, how many times have you seen headlines like "XXXX says he'll be off if so-an-so won't spend/get into CL", when in fact the article contains nothing of the sort. i get your point that some believe too easily in this anti-city agenda - the agenda is selling papers or ad space.

i dont really believe the media reports are very accurate about the want-away folks you mentioned. i think they are getting asked tough questions about hypothetical situations and the answers are being skewed towards the sensational. Also in some cases i believe they are nearly fabricated in the case of the Ade story.

what do you think of that?

cheers

Ade was bollocks. Hart and Given are marking their territory and I don't have a problem with it. Hart will get the nod and I base that purely on Given's comments. He is our No 1 and should have said just that. Saying he may look elsewhere just means he is getting rattled by Hart or in other words Hart is making Given his bitch. Kudos to Hart.

Bellamy is working his nuts off and desperately wants to be in the 25. Actually you can say the same about Hart and Given. Neither wants second best. Both want to be MCFC's number one choice. So 3 players who want to be part of it and Ade was all bollocks.

What was your point again?
