But can someone explain to me why Robinho and Jo would warrant a place in the squad but not Bellers?
These couple of workshy footballing charlatans might well sneak in the backdoor whilst Bellers gets kicked out of the front?!
Sorry...my blood pressure is up again just thinking about it

If Ned goes to Sunderland, leaving out any 1 of RSC, Jo, Robinho or Vieira would open up a space for Bellamy.
(That's with Milner & Balotelli at th club too)

Well Vieira is nailed on for the 25...Jo looks like a possibility...so that would leave Robinho and whether he climbs down...and RSC which there hasn't really been any news on?

Well Mancini's given RSC even less of a run out than Bellamy & his injury record has been much worse.

Bellamy will make the 25 man squad ... you are letting the media get to you man, get your head straight man ... you're reaching ireland levels of mental here.
Bellers makes the squad, and even if he doesn't there is no 25 man rule for the FA and League Cup.
Jo and Robinho may very well make the squad. I believe that RSC is on his way out and I have a feeling there may be 1 other surprise departure. There is space.
HG= Home grown (FA trained)
CG= club grown
1 GK Shay Given HG?
2 DF Micah Richards CG
3 DF Wayne Bridge HG
5 DF Pablo Zabaleta
7 MF Stephen Ireland CG *
8 MF Shaun Wright-Phillips CG
11 MF Adam Johnson HG
12 GK Stuart Taylor HG
17 DF Jérôme Boateng
18 MF Gareth Barry HG
19 DF Joleon Lescott HG
21 MF David Silva
24 MF Patrick Vieira
25 FW Emmanuel Adebayor
28 DF Kolo Touré
32 FW Carlos Tévez
33 DF Vincent Kompany
34 MF Nigel de Jong
39 MF Craig Bellamy HG ?
42 MF Yaya Touré
GK Joe Hart CG
DF Aleksandar Kolarov
FW Jô
MF James Milner HG
24 out of 25
Would like to add:
Balotelli - UNDER 21 DOES NOT COUNT TOWARDS TOTAL PLAYER #
Robinho still fits in
*Assuming Ireland isn't part of a player plus money deal for milner (then RSC would also get in the squad)
Under 21’s:
40 MF Vladimír Weiss (under 21)
44 DF Dedryck Boyata (under 21)
45 DF Greg Cunningham (under 21)
48 MF Abdisalam Ibrahim (under 21)
52 FW Alex Nimely (under 21)
20 FW Felipe Caicedo (would also sell for right price)
Not listed but also should get a run out in cups: John Guidetti, and possibly Kieran Trippier
Players Loaned out:
4 DF Nedum Onuoha CG
Players to loan out:
6 MF Michael Johnson (after fully fit) CG
20 FW Felipe Caicedo (would also sell for right price)
Other reserve/youth ready for a move.
EDIT: Forgot Caicedo is still under 21 right? does not count towards player total. (will be 22 on September 5th, still qualified as under 21 for atleast the first half of season, but I think it applies for the whole season)

Presumably Jo may be in with a shout because he has had a good pre season. Then again Mancini may take into account Jo's previous at City and elsewhere and figure he is not worth the gamble. Who knows but you can't knock Jo if he is doing his utmost to impress the new boss in training and in games.
Robhino is an outrageous talent and normal rules do get relaxed for outrageous talent if only on the off chance that if it does all click together you are onto a winner. However Mancini has previous with Robbie so personally I can't see it happening. Trouble is no one seems inclined to want Robbie either so I guess its back to beach football.
As for Bellers well we can talk about 25 ruling and dodgy knees and talking to Mancini or not talking to Mancini (do you think they pass notes to each other in team talks at HT?) but I guess its fairly clear that someone or some people, be that Mancini or whoever, don't want Bellamy at the club. People may rant and rave about it but if the people paying your wages would prefer you elsewhere then its offski. Maybe Mancini figures he will get enough earache off other players so Bellamy he can do without. Again who knows but I do know that as with the Ireland saga I am now getting bored with the Bellamy saga and the endless outraged threads we will get when the inevitable comes to pass and Bellamy turns up in a Cardiff shirt. Times 10 if its a Spurs shirt.
