Milner is in the Villa squad. Is this a problem?

Only if he plays for them, which would make him inelligible for the Europa for any other team this season. If he doesn't play for them, then I think we'll be ok.

So even if he plays in the qualifiers makes him ineligible for say the quarters?

My understanding is, if a player plays for a club in ANY stage of the Europa League, he is then inelligible for another team for the remainder of the competition. I assume Villa won't be palying him, and its either just incase the deal falls through (unlikely) or they haven't got anyone else to fill the spot. Or they made a boo boo.

If anyone knows better than me, I'll be glad of any correction?

Sounds like you are right mate. I just fucking hope they dont end up playing him, the transfer gets delayed, we sign him on deadline day then we cant play him for the remainder of the competition!

So do I mate! I hope he'll be ours before they play their qualifier though!
