£160k fine on bad-boy Craig Bellamy for Roberto Mancini outburst

Craig Bellamy will be hit with a heavy fine by Manchester City and has almost certainly played his last game for the club after being dropped from the Europa League squad.

Bellamy this week claimed manager Roberto Mancini was trying to force him out of Eastlands and threatened to quit football if he was left out of the club’s 25-man Premier League squad for the season.

Fuming City are ready to fine the Wales forward the maximum two weeks’ wages - £160,000 in Bellamy’s case.

Bellamy made it clear after playing a starring role for Wales during their 5-1 demolition of Luxembourg that he was prepared to fight any action taken by his club.

He did not want to add to his pre-match comments but insisted that he could not be fined as he was speaking while on international, not club, duty.

He confirmed that his agent had made Manchester City aware of the Wales skipper's feelings on the matter.

He was not in Mancini’s squad, named yesterday, for next Thursday’s Europa League qualifying tie against Romanian side FC Timisoara and has killed off any hope of making the Premier League list.

City have finally lost patience with the forward who was no stranger to trouble even before he moved from West Ham for £14million in January 2009.

Bellamy has clashed with Mancini several times. They first fell out in February when the 31-year-old defied his manager’s instruction to train with one of his Italian coaches, sparking a row in which Mancini is believed to have told Bellamy to stay away from the club for three months.

City then launched an internal investigation in March after Mancini’s touchline bust-up with David Moyes amid claims Bellamy had made comment in support of the Everton manager as he went down the players’ tunnel.

The club were also unhappy with the enthusiastic manner in which Bellamy greeted Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp after his side ended City’s hopes of a Champions League place with victory at Eastlands in May.

Spurs are favourites to sign the player as City look to offload him this summer.

Seems to be a common thing i hear about all the time but it makes no sense to me that we would soend £28 million and then if the player is any good we owe them even more money.

Pretty sure it's 28m euros not pounds. And the add ons are probably things like x number of goals scored = bonus, x # of times representing Italy = bonus, similar to the add ons in the Adam Johnson deal.

Its 23 million pounds.

2.8 million a year. Balotelli wants 4.1 a year.

City have offered 60k a week, Balotelli wants 80k minimum.

Unlikely that he will fly in at 7am, the only two flights from Milan are at 3pm.

Like a roman candle stuck in a turd.

MANCHESTER City have offered Zlatan Ibrahimovic a four-year deal worth a staggering £96MILLION - or roughly £500,000 a week.

The mega-deal would make the Barcelona striker the highest-paid footballer in the world, earning £24m a year.

That dwarfs the salaries of top stars such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka.

City representatives made their mouth-watering offer direct to Ibrahimovic's manager Mino Raiola to show how much they want to capture the Swedish international.

The huge deal dwarfs the 11m euros a year the striker picks up at the Nou Camp.

Ibrahimovic is unsettled at Barca despite joining only last summer in a 50m euro deal that also took Samuel Eto'o from Barcelona to the San Siro.

The enigmatic forward fell out with Barca coach Pep Guardiola in February and the pair barely speak now.

Ibrahimovic is upset he has not been a regular starter and he has clashed with his coach over Barca's style of play.

So the chance to be involved in building a new club to rival Europe's best is an attractive proposition, especially with such a salary on offer.

The striker is familiar with City boss Roberto Mancini after the pair's time together at Inter Milan.

A source close to Ibrahimovic said: "City have shown how much they want Zlatan and although he is well paid at Barcelona this offer is in a different league.

"It has given him plenty to think about especially when he is not so happy with his football at Barca.

"The idea of being part of a move to create a new super club to challenge the very best in Europe is also attractive.

"City have to agree a deal with Barcelona before this can go any further - but there's a feeling that could all happen fairly quickly now."

Unsettled Brazilian star Robinho could move to Barcelona as a makeweight in the deal.

Ibrahimovic's arrival would raise more questions about the futures of strikers Carlos Tevez, Emmanuel Adebayor, Roque Santa Cruz and Craig Bellamy as City continue their spree.

From random sun hack with unknown quoted source.
