does it take us ages to sign some1 eg milner, mario then other teams sign players. stoke got jones, liverpool got poulstin and bloody blackpool got 5 players yesterday. and we are still trying to get these players after weeks of starting to try to get these players. ive said it once and i say it again, both villa and milan are taking us for cunts. its time for us to walk away from these and go for some other players.

Why oh why are you in such a flap about it?
Deals happen, sometimes deals don't happen. That's the way it is - tough at the top ;-)

I don't know why it takes so long but I will hazard a guess it's because they are higher profile players than kenwynne jones and the 4 nobodies Blackpool signed

Everyone's trying to bum us on fees, wages, agents fees and everything else.
Might as well get used to it. It'll probably happen most of the time from now on.

Maybe the later we give Villa the money the less time they have to spend some of it wisely. And the later we give Inter the money the later they pass it over to Liverpool for Mascherano, who in turn have less time to spend their windfall wisely.

Seeing that I don't get full blown access to the tabloids everytime I walk into a store or chippy (not that we have them here, nor would I ever walk into one...), I am curious why everyone talks dead certain we are getting Mario. Nothing I seem to see has any real evidence it will be put to ink within two weeks time.
Most people on here seem to think it is a forgone conclusion, and it is "certainty" like that, that makes me wonder, are we being set up to fail here?
I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I am all out of bubblegum.

Because we are shopping in the exclusive high end market and not picking up a job lot from Argos.
Chelsea are going through the same with Ramires.

Id rather wait a couple of weeks for us to sign Balotelli, then sign Kenwyne Jones in 24 hours.

It once took me nearly 14 months to negotiate about selling and buying a house and a contract negotiation at work once took nearly two years to finalise. Stop worrying, things take time to sort out. I'm sure Cook & Co have other irons in the fire if these deals do not get completed.

Aren't we forgetting the rest of our signings? Boateng, Kolarov, Silva and even Yaya didn't take that long. It's obviously the little Danny de Vito man rubbing his hands for Balotelli and the former manager who reminds me of a Thunderbirds character for the other.

Im just happy we are supporting a club in the position to have the cash to propose these deals. Some will be concluded some not.
We have already had a really good window and our signings have improved our squad far more than any business other clubs have done.Any more additions will just be an added bonus.

This. Totally this. So so totally this. Once our money comes into the market the others can play. Why give them all the time in the world to do their deals?

Blackpool is a bad example as they had clearly been lining up these deals but couln't even pay their players bonus until they got the first PL instalment through. So they tied up the deals over the last couple of months and then just wrote the cheques this week.
As for us, we are negotiating fees down, whereas clubs and agents are asking the earth because we are CITY!
