You know if you replace Robinho's name with Anelka, and Besiktas with Fenerbahçe, I know this story... is Chelsea next??

Besiktas !!! He really must hate it in England. I think its down to the fact that he cant handle the English game. When will people realise that Brazil are no longer a great national side, their players get blown way out of proportion due to the fact they're Brazillian. Most that are classed as world class would be seen as the average players they really are if they came from another nation.. I also think Kaka is way over rated, he would fail big time in England..

No. Big difference. Anelka did the business in the premiership for us.

In fairness Robinho led us in goals in all competitions in 2008-09 season.

He certainly seems to have little pond as already mentioned but the pond being Turkey, not just Besiktas IMO

Honestly don't know much about Turkish footie but he has to be the biggest name out there if he goes?

Which will certainly feed that ego of his!

How many western pl ayers have gone down there and stuck more than one or two seasons, can't be many?

Perhaps the challenge is Turkish ladies?

Indeed Bernd Schuster, got his best ever form out of him at Real Madrid, he's also taken Guti there.

The one thing that bothers me about this is that the previous seller knew they were selling damaged goods and we must of known we were buying damaged goods and 32 million is a lot to pay. It doesn't show us in a good light and as far as robinho is concerned, it's game over for the big time as no one is going to take him seriously, saying that there are always mugs out there
Hoping our new rollercoaster gives us the thrill of our lives.

So, as Mancini has asked him once again if he wants to play for us & told him once again it's his choice, he will have dumped us twice if this happens.

i just think Bobby is being very careful there.. as in not making a scene out of it. Also if we pretend that we are happy to keep him it looks as though we still value him and therefore are going to demand a proper fee.

He has said very little to encourage Robson to stay, and psychologically it is a smart move.. if Robaby came out and said he wanted to stay then Bobby would hit him with 'then you have to play like you mean it or shut up'

We should be saying to him "play like a man and mean it, or we're selling you to Besiktas"

The little prick would probably think he was being clever by accepting it.

He might meet up with Vassell, they can remeniss about our left wing all night long.

I believe Harry Kewell is doing very well out there.

Edit to say, SSN are saying we will be paying half his wages for the remainder of his contract duration. I'd rather stick the cunt in the reserves and make him break his contract or retire like the soft little cunt tried at Real Madrid

Besiktas would be a good fit for Robinho. They have a large Brazilian contingent of players, regularly compete in either the Champions League or Europa League, have a passionate and fanatical set of fans who would literally fall in love with him and, to the massive shock of all who watch nothing but the Premiership, the Turkish league is rather competitive and frequently increasing in quality. Signings in the past few years have included Danny Guiza, Guti, Milan Baros, Harry Kewell, Roberto Carlos, Elano, Darius Vassell and Nihat Kaveci, not to mention the quality of players being domestically produced.
The team is currently coached by former Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster, although I believe Robinho had left before he became Real coach.

Well they offered 16.7 million beginning of July which we firmly rejected so can only assume there has been an improved offer

16 million plus 10 million in performance related add-ons is what is being quoted at present via various media sources on news now
