and injured after 15mins. Sounds like Bojinov to me.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Reminded me of Drogba but less likely to go down like a sack of spuds.

I agree mate. Very promising indeed. The side we were playing looked bolloxed int 2nd half but I was stil impressed by his cameo role. also liked the way he seemed to gel with Ade very quickly. Could be interesting to see them play together this season with Carlos and also Jinky who looked very good again.

Its in the morning when it will be at its worst, especially if its his knee. Ive done my knee ligaments before, it didnt hurt at first until you wake up in the morning and your knee looks like a rugby ball.

How long did it take to recover?

The "a young Drogba" billing seems pretty apt so far, fingers crossed he isn't too badly injured

yeah mate. A teammate of mine once upon a time did his as well. Didn't look that bad at first. Limped off the pitch himself. Had trouble standing up but said after the game that it didn't hurt much at all. Ended up going under knife and spending nine months on the touchlines.

ffs you drama queens...this isn't jumpers for goalposts...the physio was there...if it would have been serious he wouldn't have let him walk off...he was testing the knee whilst he was on the ground!

I tore my MCL in a game 8 weeks ago. Thought it was just a twist and tried to come back on. Turns out it's torn and I still can't kick a ball. Fuck knows when I'll play again.

Mario hasn't done that though, I'm condfident ;)

thank god it's not. Back in the 80's doing your knee ligament badly not only meant that your career was over but that you'd be limping rest of your life.

I did my cruciates in, 3 months max I say.

3 months is a remarkably short recovery period from cruciate ligamnent damage. I did my lateral ligaments - the ligaments that sit either side of the knee cap, which is considerably less serious, back in May. 4 months down the line i reckon I've got at least another 2 months to go.

I thought Adebayor went up a gear 2nd half but then up 2 more gears when Balotelli came on. They hit it off straight away. Also when silva went on the right of the front 3 for a short while it seemed to click. Balotelli just had me smiling from the moment he came on though. It's obvious he's fucking quality & it's obvious he knows it. If we can keep him sensible we've really got something special, on another level than we're used to.

LESS likely??! Wow.

Gents, I hope I am proved to be a complete chump, and I don't want to put a downer on it, but I after watching Inter last year I really don't rate him at all.

As I say I hope I'm wrong. Time will tell.

True, Adebayor isn't that happy playing up front on his own and as soon as he had a willing frontman he came into the game very well and looked sharper for it. He crossed into the box knowing that his striking partner would be in the six yard box. Almost a novelty for City to score with a front two combination. Nice to see. :-D Silva looks way off the pace at the mo and Tevez isn't getting anywhere near the 18 yard box the last two games to make an attacking difference.
