Tevez was slow to get into things last season.. due to the injury just before the start. This time he isnt injured but i just think off the pace from the late hols and the WC. Couple of weeks and he will be terrorising again.

Gents, I hope I am proved to be a complete chump, and I don't want to put a downer on it, but I after watching Inter last year I really don't rate him at all.

As I say I hope I'm wrong. Time will tell.

Eh ????? you dont rate him ????!!

That's right, a week and a half ago Silva and Tevez could only manage 35mins v Valencia, they are a long way off 100% - can't wait for it though!

come on man. His talent really is beyond questioning. Whether he can keep his head straight is another question but that boy is a beast.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

cant wait is not the word! we will have to be patient though. one of the tricks City have up their sleeve this season is all the different combos we can throw at teams. Will take a bit of time for them all to emerge, but im sure it is going to be worth the wait ;)

I think we should do same again with Balotelli. Wait til Carragher & Co start to wheeze & stick him on. They won't know what fucking day it is.

to be fair, Carragher doesn't really slow down as the match grows older. I mean if he'd be any slower than he is in the beginning of the game, he'd stop moving.

Imo one of the most overrated players in the league. If he wasn't 'scouser for life', he'd be partnering Bramble in Wigan.

May do, he was good when he came on. Mind you, when Silva played that position for about 5-10 mins he was starting to find his feet & link up with Ade so he may have seen enough to try him there again.

You could see from his reaction to what our other players are doing that he's a natural - the very microsecond that he saw Tevez was going to attempt an overhead kick he bolted for the post to try and get onto a missed shot or rebound - he almost knew what Tevez was doing before Tevez. (Ok so that one went into the sidenetting from an impossible - or rather from a Maicon - angle but they wont all miss)

I'd say I saw at least 70% of Inter's games last year.

Of course those of us that aren't completely up his arse yet know nothing and are questioned by other people for being a little apprehensive.

It's a good job we haven't spent millions recently on a superstar signing and then got burnt when it turned out they didn't give a shit on wanted to fuck off home. Because then it would be us that looked like the chumps!

Re: Super Mario

Postby trueblue64 » Thu Aug 19, 2010 10:06 pm

Roberto Mancini saluted Mario Balotelli after the Italian striker put Manchester City on the road to the group stages of the Europa League.

Balotelli, 20, stepped off the bench to score the winner in the 1-0 play-off first leg victory against Timisoara in Romania.

He swept the ball home from close range after being set up by Emmanuel Adebayor in the 72nd minute.

It has been a whirlwind week for Balotelli, whose registration was only received by UEFA on deadline day after he arrived last week from Inter Milan for a reported £24million.

City boss Mancini said: "He had a great debut and I am happy that he scored. He is a good player.

"He needs to improve of course and get to know everybody. It was the first time he had played with the team."

Balotelli, however, picked up a booking after losing his cool and was told by Mancini not to repeat his actions in England.

The Italian warned: "We must work on this with him because it will be different in the Premier League than in Italy."

Balotelli needed treatment at the end of the game but should be available to face Liverpool at home on Monday.

Mancini said: "We do not think it is serious. It was probably just a kick, it is not a problem."

England's biggest spenders were good value for their victory after stepping up the pace in the second half.

Yaya Toure thumped a shot against the post before Balotelli stunned the industrious home side.

Mancini said: "It was a difficult game because Timisoara are a good team and they played very well in the first half.

"In the end, it is a good result for us. But they made it difficult for us by getting so many players behind the ball.

"All the players played well, especially in the second half and we moved the ball quickly. When (Adam) Johnson came on, he also did well.

"I think we deserved to score another goal because we had three or four good chances."

But Mancini stressed that the tie was not over and there was still work to be done at Eastlands.

He added: "Football is strange. When you think you can win easy, you must have maximum concentration."

Why the attitude? He's a fucking supreme talent & a nutcase. We know that, we're not fucking stupid. We are fucking rich though, hence we've been able to sign a player who's too much of a gamble for Barca or Real. If he wasn't a flawed character up to now, we wouldn't have stood a cat in hell's chance of getting him. If we can get him playing though, we have a potential World No 1 on our hands. If we can't, we'll just have to suffer with Tevez, Adebayor, Silva & Johnson until we buy someone else. Tough life.
