Well they offered 16.7 million beginning of July which we firmly rejected so can only assume there has been an improved offer

16 million plus 10 million in performance related add-ons is what is being quoted at present via various media sources on news now

Mugspassing on a flop to even bigger mugs then. More than we could have hoped for really

how about they give us £32 million now, and for every game he plays for them, we pay them back £250,000 of that.

That way, that way we'll get £30 million back.

They have a large Brazilian contingent of players, regularly compete in either the Champions League or Europa League, have a passionate and fanatical set of fans who would literally fall in love with him and, to the massive shock of all who watch nothing but the Premiership, the Turkish league is rather competitive and frequently increasing in quality. Signings in the past few years have included Danny Guiza, Guti, Milan Baros, Harry Kewell, Roberto Carlos, Elano, Darius Vassell and Nihat Kaveci, not to mention the quality of players being domestically produced.
The team is currently coached by former Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster, although I believe Robinho had left before he became Real coach.

Some absolute diamonds in that lot :s

Sounds like a 'third age residence' for old footballers!

I'd have to object on this, Santos has a couple of youngsters that, imho, are already better than him, namely Neymar and Ganzo. They also have another but I can't recall his name now :(

The point is, he is the world superstar, they are up and coming and dont have his reputation yet, nor have they played in 2 world cups. Whichever way you dress it up, he was the big star at Santos regardless whether he was the best player.

I think it will start more of them if he chooses once again to dump City for another club. Mancini has once again given him the opportunity to play for City. Will he dump us a second time or will he try to produce his best for City? Not many players get 2 chances. Lets see what he decides.

I'm thinking with you on this one Ted. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he sprang up in our team again and put his head down. Then again I wouldn't be surprised if he fucled off elsewhere. I'd like the little fucler to give it a go with us. Nowt to lose cos he's decent when he's on fire and Bobby could fucl him off if he became cuntish.

Look at the players he can play with. Look at the money he's being paid. Why the fuck would anyone choose to chuck that in & go to a 2nd rate league in Turkey, where Harry fucking Kewell is a top player, unless it's because they don't give a shit about football, just their own ego? He has a fantastic opportunity to be part of something special. If he chooses to walk out on it, he's a wanker, unworthy of the respect of anyone other than sad morons.

Lyon enter Robinho race

Image

Lyon have entered the race to end Robinho’s Manchester City misery after Besiktas made a bid that could be worth up to £25m.
Last season’s French league runners-up had considered a loan move for the Brazilian – but have been told that the Blues would rather sell.

City are hoping to recoup most of the £32.5m they paid Real Madrid for the playmaker in September 2008.

Robinho, 26, did not feature in Thursday’s Europa League play-off match against FC Timisoara, despite being included in the initial squad, as the Blues did not want to cup-tie him.

Besiktas – who, like City, are set to progress through the Europa League play-off round – have offered an initial £15m, with the rest due in performance-related add-ons if the Brazilian is a success in Turkey.
A deal would see Robinho reunited with Besiktas boss Bernd Schuster, who was his coach at Real Madrid.

But Lyon have the advantage of being able to offer Champions League football if they are prepared to match the Turkish club’s offer.

Besiktas’ Turkish league rivals Fenerbahce have also indicated an interest in Robinho, but are understood to be unwilling to bid anywhere near as much.

City officials said on Friday night that no deal has been agreed with Besiktas, opening the door for a Lyon approach.

Meanwhile, the Blues have sold out of season tickets for the first time in their history after a busy summer in the transfer market.
Fans have flocked to buy the Seasoncards, as they are officially known, following the signings of David Silva, Mario Balotelli, James Milner, Yaya Toure, Jerome Boateng and Aleksandar Kolarov.
The Blues have now set up a waiting list for fans who want to register for next year.
