Fail. Everton extended the initial loan deal, adding on a full season. They wanted him but couldn't afford the fee. He then fell out with Moyes in his 2nd season..

Ask any Everton fan...my best mate included...what they thought of Jos time there and see what answer you get...exactly what we thought of Jos time here before his meaningless friendly 'give a fuck' moments

Are you for real? Ask him what he thinks about Phil Neville? They're happy with Jermaine fucking Beckford. They want a front man who can hold up the ball for midfielders to shoot or cause trouble off long balls. That's not Jo's game, and that's the difference we're seeing.

I've noticed Ade seems to be doing that now as some kind of 'Tribute To Benjani' . They can do it together & see who comes up with the best effort.

Why?

One good reason please?

simple, we can afford to give him a chance in this game. I like that Bob is prepared to give players chances.. like spanish Gaz. It doesn't mean that he is under any illusions about Jo, he perhaps thinks he can get him to an effective player if not a world beater which would then be useful in the squad. If that confidence in Jo pays off even a little it would be worth it.. and what mr Haircut have we got to lose anyway?

As per the other thread...do you really want to go into this season with Jo as back up?

If we get any injuries...do you really want this guy leading the line?

Here's an idea...why don't we loan him out to Timbucktoo Rovers and get in a striker who is...

A) Going to make an effort

and

B) Score goals

well when you put it like that No. But Bobby still has to confirm the 25 so we will see. If he does make it i would agree with you it is a bit of cause for concern. On the pos side at least he wont be moaning about being on the bench.
Ultimately i will trust Mancini for now.. im sure if he doesn't think he will improve any he will get shut.

Beggars belief.

What is stopping us from keeping Jo & doing that anyway, if such a player exists?

It's also a question of keeping players content even though they are benched / used as bit-part players. How would we possibly fit in another world class striker without fucking one of the ones we have off (I'm being generous and count both Ade as Mario as (potential) world class)?

Was thinking about the difference on current form between Ade and Benjani and all I could come up with was about £17 million pounds.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Thought Jo was ok tonight considering what was put in his path. Better than most teams have as their backup strikers IMO. Cut the fucler a little slack and you may be pleasantly surprised that he will do a decent job for us. I could think of quite a few strikers in the Premier League that don't have his ability.

I think people just need someone direct their shit at. They look at the team sheet, moan like fuck about him and then spend the rest of the game justifying that judgment by convincing themselves everything he touches turns to shite.

I don't think he played too bad tonight. Some good stuff, some shit. Nothing worth hanging him for. Ade wasn't much better, IMO.
