Robinho goes...Official

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I loved it when he signed....just the most mental day of being a City fan. I doubt that anything will ever top that for City fan shock factor...ever

I loved seeing him in a City shirt, the madness that Robinho played for City.....just made me laugh, the mere thought of that in the dark days was ludicrous

I loved his form pre his infamous night out in Leeds...truly great stuff

I loved and still love the way he plays with a smile

Didn't like the rest from the end of that first season onwards

Annoyed that he didn't have the balls or the insight to see that he could now still do amazing things here.....

A real shame but a nice bit of business.....presume it was Mancini who sorted it, no way it was Marwood or Cook

To be honest i am feeling a huge sense of relief that we got rid of him and for a deal that worked out really well for us.
I really felt we were going to get shafted by him again and he would go on loan againand his value would dwindle again.
I never thought i would be saying this a couple of years back but moving him on has topped off a great transfer window.

Adriano Galliani: Zlatan Ibrahimovic And Robinho Are Gifts From Silvio Berlusconi To The Fans Of Milan

Adriano Galliani has extolled club supremo Silvio Berlusconi for signing Ibrahimovic and Robinho.
By Subhankar Mondal

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has showered praise on club supremo Silvio Berlusconi for completing the deals for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho in the closing stages of the summer transfer period.

The Rossoneri landed Ibrahimovic from Barcelona on a season-long loan with an option to purchase him outright and on Tuesday signed Robinho from Manchester City on a four-year contract.

Speaking to Sky Sport 24 on Tuesday evening, Milan's Galliani said, "These two signings were a great present to all the supporters from Silvio Berlusconi.

"Robinho will wear the number 70 shirt, Ibrahimovic will have the No. 11. Robinho cost €18 million plus bonuses.

"For so many years I have not seen Berlusconi so in love with Milan. On Sunday Ibrahimovic told me to go and buy Robinho also."

Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola added, "I never spoke with Milan about Maxwell. He is very happy at Barcelona."

On Tuesday striker Marco Borriello left Milan to join Roma and told Sky Sport 24, "I am happy, it is an important move for my career. I will speak more tomorrow."

Robinho, Ronaldinho, Ibrahimovic. Hmm. Have Clarence Seedorf & Gattuso retired yet? If they haven't, now may be a good time.

I don't believe we genuinely got £20 mil for him. No way would anyone pay that for him now. If they have then Marwod & Cook should get a pay rise for conning the bastards out of that. Nick Leeson went to jail for less.

When you consider we got him for 32.5m, paid him 12m in salary over two seasons making that 44.5m

We've then sold him for 22m and save 18m on salary making that 40m. Ok we have a deficit of 4.5m, but would you have been happy if we'd had a genuine world class talent on our books, which has raised the profile of the club internationally to players and supporters alike?

4.5m to get that sort of profile is a fucking bargain IMHO. And let's not forget, we had 15 hours to get him in, and sold shirts too!!
Good luck Robby... You'll miss us more than we'll miss you

Way I see your figures he cost 22.5 mil probably about half a million a game!!!

Still glad to get out with some decent dosh - probably a lot more than berbaflop would command

At the end of the day, there are only so many big clubs Robby can visit. Let's see how he performs on the wet or Snow laden Italian pitches in mid winter.

I don't think he'll perform any better than he did at the likes of Portsmouth or Sheff Utd. In addition, if chelsea had beaten us to his signature, I reckon he would have wanted to go when Scolari was sacked.

Let's not forget his Loyalty payments had we kept him and sold him prior to his contract finishing. So in reality, we've probably made a slight profit as well as all the publicity.

We popped our 'SuperStar' football player Cherry with Robson, dazzled us with som fucking amazing skill, goals and allways looked to be loving the game!

But his head was fucked, the nigh out in Leeds and a chilly winter and he was gone.

Like pulling the fittest bird in town, who turns out to be a damn good fuck too - but 3 months down the line turns out to be a phsyco-hose-bitch from hell and a fuck up. Allways look back on that first day with a smile and a hard-on but then happy as FOOK we got rid!

Whatever anyone say's though.
Footballers do play in a stressful environment especially at big clubs.
But they have also got a really 'easy' life and have to be respectful of that.
But he was shit for us so I'm glad he went.
But he did, sort of put us on the map :)
