Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

It was a case of good news and not so good news today. Tevez/RSC/Silva and Zaba were all back but unfortunately Carols was only doing some light work with Carminati away from the rest. Also no Adebayor on view at all.Yaya however was looking absolutely fine. All behind fencing today which didn't make it easy.
All sorts of the usual warm up stuff at the start plus Mancini taking 10 away for the regular team stuff.Maybe the team for Saturday but who knows especially as it didn't include Barry and Nigel. But after 5 or 10 minutes a few players switched which brought GB and NDJ to the party plus Zaba. They did a variety of attacking plays and finished with some corners with a different approach tried out. Then it was onto defensive stuff from corners and free kicks.
All back then to some football which was 3 touch and trying to score in 5 a side goals after 10 completed passes. The first goal scored will take some beating. Really fast one touch play fizzing the ball around and ending with a top sidefoot finish from 20 yards by none other than Nigel. I think he wanted to celebrate for longer but the game started again quickly.Jo missed a sitter as did RSC but Lescott did a bit of goalhanging to score a couple and Nigel scored another.
The final exercise was a game across the width of the pitch with SWP playing for both sides. Whichever team was attacking could use him and he was pretty good too.The best goal in this session... Nigel again. Who needs strikers. This one was a volley from a Silva chipped cross and it flew in. Nice finishes also from AJ and a tap in from RSC following up on a save. Barry got bundled over by Micah ( sound familiar?) and Yaya strolled up for the pen. No chance against Joe diving full length to his right. Tevez was watching most of this and although sitting down was doing some stretching exercises on his calves. Maybe he isn't that bad or he would have been inside being worked on.
No MJ today. Probably nothing more than not overdoing it 2 days in a row.The final dodgy news though was Nigel breaking through for a last chance and poking it over the top. He didn't get up quickly and had a decided limp. It didn't look great.
As I was leaving Mancini was showing Jo a few things in the center of the field and SWP and Joe H were having a crossbar challenge between themselves with drop kick volleys.SWP won.

Cheers Doug, so Tevez is a doubt. Is there a chance of seeing Adebayor? is there any news of what might his injury be?

Both big doubts. Mancini mentioned Tevez in the press conference but I don't think he mentioned Ade.I don't know exactly what Ade's injury concern is.

Nimely's out for a period as well. Has Gudetti been spotted anywhere or is he injured too?
Hopefully Tevez & Ade are only short term problems. Otherwise it's up to RSC & Jo to produce the goods 3 games a week or failing that we may have to play SWP as a striker.

They are hoping next weekend but we really need him to start training fully first to prove he is ok.

Nigel will score today. No doubt.
PS Doug. Kate is at Chateau de dazby and is doing fine. She's been fed and watered. We're off to see some sights and then the local state league grand final before heading to the pub to watch Nigel get his hat trick.
PPS. Put some money in her bank account. ;-)

And there's me thinking the Aussie hospitality would extend to freebies at the pub:)
If Nigel gets a hat trick I will put money in your bank account. The way he was limping at the end yesterday makes me think he is a very doubtful starter

Update. Kate has lost her passport and has no Id to get into the pub. In a fantastic gesture, all my mates have left said pub and we've gone to another venue. No city tonight but Kate is in good company. Please be descriptive in the match thread. Cheers lads.
