Prime example of what Arsenal can do to you if you let them play. Give them space and they will put 5 or 6 past you. They are still the only team in the prem that can embarrass you and make it look effortless.
However ugly it may be, you have to get in their faces and stop them ensuring they have to play a game they dont want to.

Whilst they are great to watch when given time to play i think the rags and Chelsea have their number they just bully them into submission.

We absolutely twatted them twice last season & would have away from home if Bobby hadn't bottled it & gone for a draw imo. Nice to watch against teams who let them play but imo we're going to leave them well behind in the next few years. When they used to play like that with a team full of world class players THEN they were something to aspire to, not now. The only player of theirs I would want is Fabregas.

I would take Wilshire as well.

I could quite easily see Arsenal going on a decent run and putting in a title challenge. They are still way ahead of us in terms of development and team ethics/togetherness despite Hughes being able to beat Wenger for a couple of seasons in a row.
I'd easily take into our squad:
Clichy
Vermaelen
Fabregras
Song
Wilshire
Arshavin
Van Persie
Walcott

I'd probably add Chamakh into that. Looking at the way he's played the last few weeks, he looks like exactly what we're missing- scores most of the time with his head, and hangs around the six yard box. We'd be ten times better with someone like that in the side for Tevez to play off.

Very enjoyable game to watch. It's pretty clear that to stop Arsenal
you have to stop Fabregas, he's at the heart of everything they do.

Finally, some sense here. The cl is very poor imo, some bad teams are playing in the competition this season, for example man united.

i thought the opposition last night were terrible. 2nd division CL quality. There for the goal difference, nothing else. I'd have been surprised if Arsenal hadn't scored a hat full, tbo.
Hope Bobby was watching and learned a bit about attacking football.

Well which 9 of our players would we be dumping in order to accomodate that lot though? Van Persie would be a certain inclusion of course but he's never fit so I wouldn't want him. Not convinced at all about Chamakh. We do need that type of player but not him imo. I think he'll go the same way as Eduardo. Imo the only players we'd want to replace with Arsenal's players are the ones we don't rate & are planning to replace anyway. In that case I'd rather replace them with someone better than any on that list bar Fabregas.
My prediction for Arsenal this season; start well, fade out, win fuck all, possibly finish below us & perhaps miss the Champ's league.

I'd easily take into our squad:
Clichy=bridge! definitely
Vermaelen=Lescott??? Not sure think I'd stick with flat fod
Fabregras=take your pick
Song=No thanks
Wilshire=definitely replace one of our youngsters
Arshavin=Jo in a heartbeat
Van Persie=Santa Cruz
Walcott=Swp as our only attack comes from the wings Walcott will create more than shauny
As above I think he was pretty much spot on in terms.of in our squad. Not all starters but would make our squad move up a level for sure!

So you're replacing purely the players who are most likely to be surplus & none of the important players as I said in my post. My point is that we wouldn't actively want any of Arsenal's players other than Fabregas. When RSC & Lescott go, we won't be saying 'let's get Vermalen & Arshavin' we'll be looking at replacing them with better because the Arsenal players aren't good enough to be on our wish list.

I'd have Cesc, Wilshere and Arshavin but apart from the I think what we've got is better. Clichy is so overrated in my opinion, he's shit.
He's good going forward but he can't defend at all.

In fairness to Eduaro though, he was doing brilliantly until the second injury, that just killed him off. As for the others, if you're talking exclusively about starters, probably only Fabregas and Arshavin from that lot.

Ted you didn't actually say in your post you were talking staring u just said who would you replace. With these new rules it's all about your 25 just look how shallow spurs and the scums squad look now with a few injuries. If we had tevez and Kompany Injured (Dawson, Defoe) I'd be worried
