I'm sure i'm not the only one that has watch recent games and thought to myself there is no point him picking the ball up so deep when there is no one that is gonna be on the end of the pass.
I will be patient, but I get the impression we have another "untouchable" player developing. our players need to play in there best positions, for me he's a bit too deep (if Ade is on the field that's ok).
I agree mostly with what Ted says, apart from him needing Bellemy. However the main point is that Tevez isnt an out and out striker as such, he can play that sure, but his game is way more than that. Giving him freedom is what makes the difference from what we have gotten from him and what the rags got by forcing him to play a certain game or position. So basically what your saying is.. er.. boloany

I'd agree with this and when Mario is fit I expect that we will move to a slightly more attacking formation with Tevez playing off the shoulder of the big man, right now it's a choice of playing Tevez or Jo upfront alone, I know what I'd pick.

I think it's a simple one really. He's tired, I know we all go mad when footballers complain about being tired and playing too many games and find it ridiculous but Carlos never stops he leaves tge pitch every game absolutely shattered and on top of that gets kicked from pillar to post for 90 minutes aswell. Sooner ade and mario are fit the sooner we will see tevez back to his best
Exactly that. We we have more options up front we can play Tevez in his best position as well.

Yes he has. He'll never score a goal for us ever ever again. We'll need to release him on a free. He's washed up, past it, a has been and is not fit to wear the shirt. He is the current Christian Negouai/Carlo Nash of the team. Worst player in the squad this season.
And it is all, ALL Mancio's fault.
Great thread.

Tevez is a funny one- imo he looks less intersted this season as if he is awaitin another big deal- i might be wrong but its an opinion iz all-dont all small fast guys like runnin off a normal center forward? he is definitely not playin with a smile on his face n he will be trouble sooner rather than later in tryin to force a move - just a feelin thats all

Carlos imo is clearly not fit he needs to rest but as he is now Captain that will probs not happen until he drops out of sheer exhaustion.

Tevez is missing chances, shooting from stupid angles, not passing and generally getting on my tits.
Gonna give the benefit of the doubt tho cos I remember felling this way about someone a while back and them proving me wrong by finishing with 29 goals and poy.
What was the guys name?
Tracking back is overrated.

IMO Carlos may have had a average start to the season but the whole team in the league has had an average start to the season. Only in the Europa League have results looked better and that's only because we were playing inferior teams. Salzburg for all the set pieces they had and possesion we gave them (Hart) didn't really threaten. Just like when Bianchi was up front if a striker gets no service he will eventually come looking for the ball, unless he's a lazy fucler like Ade and prefers to sit and take a breather.
One point I would like to highlight is several people have put forward that Bobby Manc will got more attacking in his formation when players reach full fitness (mario etc). IMO his one and only system is 4-5-1 (4-2-3-1, Xmas tree, whatever) and he will just move around the personnel. From all of the football we have seen from Mancini when has he ever indicated that he'll go for an out and out attacking side?

I think the haircut is all about this.. and he wants to make sure that if a club is interested in him they were not put off in any way by his previously scruffy hairstyle... its so obvious.
Meanwhile perhaps City could get him some special boots with cuban heels.

Well, it depends on the personnel involved, you know. Because a 4-5-1 with Balotelli and Johnson on the flanks looks pretty similar to a 4-3-3 to me, even if Johnson is not exactly a striker, but he's attacking enough to fill the role of a wide forward. And that would be pretty attacking, wouldn't it?

Playing twice a week and travelling to Argentina and back isn't easy. I'm sure he would have been rested if it wasn't for injuries
Torres woeful form is put down to travel and tiredness, but he's played a fraction of the games that our warrior Tevez has been through

I truly would love to see us go hell for leather at a side, wingers flying down the flanks, Barry/Silva pulling the srtings in the middle and strikers banging them in. But I think the system will stay primarily defensive and rely on the full backs to overload the opposition, something that will only become effective when Kolarov and Boateng come back, maybe!

its your opinion, but it sucks. Tevez's attitude, facial expressions etc etc are no different to every before, you must be bored to make these thought up in your head

Tevez takes time to get to his best fitness levels and that comes more from playing than from training. It certainly isn't helped either with Internationals around the world. He is playing fine right now if not at his very best and will have a great season with us.
