Lawro Predicts

Not seen it on here for a while. Interest that he's got us down for an easy win, but as we all know, nothing's easy for us at the DW! Anybody remember the 4-0 and 4-3 a few years back and I'm pretty sure we've not beat them at theirs for a fair few years.

Pie Eaters v The Mighty Blues

Manchester City need to win this game. They lost at Sunderland, drew at Blackburn and the pressure will mount on manager Roberto Mancini very quickly and questions will be asked such as 'what's his best team'? and 'how's the atmosphere in the dressing room?'.

An away win at Wigan will just about take the pressure off.

Wigan have showed in patches this season that they have a few good things going for them, but whether it's enough to avoid relegation, I'm not so sure.

Prediction: 0-2

And, had to add this one about his beloved Dippers. I wonder if it's hope or just pure delusion on his part?

Scum v Skip Rats

Manchester United have drawn the last three of their four games, conceding late goals in a couple of them and that will drive them mad.

They are obviously looking for a little bit of form but I think striker Dimitar Berbatov will return after sitting out the Champions League match against Rangers and he is playing well for them so far this season.

Losing Antonio Valencia is a massive blow for United. I thought he settled in very well last season and was the most naturally gifted right- sided winger they have.

Liverpool will make themselves difficult to beat and if you offered Roy Hodgson a point now, he'd probably take it.

I think it will be a tight game and because of how both teams are playing right now I'm going for a scoreless draw.

Prediction: 0-0

I've said that for years, keeping my mouth shut now! They seem to be one of the more extreme bogey teams.

Im expecting a similar pattern to the Sunderland game, if we get the early break we will crush them or cruise it, if we fail to take our chances we will be living dangerously and struggle. I do think we will get the early break though.

As for lawro's Liverpool prediction i think wierdly he might be right.. they will go 100% all out for a draw.

c'mon Beefy there were reasons for that in all seriousness, Bobby was new to the scene and a bit stunned after the Goodison game, it wasn't surprising it was caution first, even if most of us would have told him that is not the way to do it.

It sure was a dull period, apart from beating the rags we went out of both cups, beat a couple of shit-ass teams, lost against Hull then went and followed it all up with the spanking of Chelsea - you couldn't make the shit up!

Anyway, back to the scouse twat - wrong again!

Stoke v West Ham

Stoke manager Tony Pulis' family bereavement obviously inspired them to a victory against Aston Villa which for a long time didn't look like they were going to get.

On Saturday Stoke come up against a West Ham team who are obviously without manager Avram Grant for religious reasons.

I'm going for a home win, which would obviously leave West Ham without a point this season, but there is no need to panic.

It's a relatively new team with a new manager and they will take time to gel. They've played Villa away, Manchester United away and Chelsea at home, so I think you need to take a step back and look at it realistically.

Prediction: 2-0

I would like to see a comparison at the end of the season between the expert pundit that is The Times' Bruce the Mystic Crab and the crustacean that is Mark Lawrenson. Bruce predicted an away win for Brum today but Lawro went for the draw with West Brom.

To be fair to the shearer shithole sucker, he is getting paid to make these predictions, wheras a few of us on this forum lose quite a bit of cash predicting ours. If you could get more than 3 correct scores out of all the prem matches week in week out, you would be doing very well.

I do understand he is cunt though

I agree with him on both counts. Liverpool will play like Rangers - if they have any sense, otherwise they'll get thrashed.

And if we play Wigan correctly - on the break like Chelsea and Blackpool did - then we'll trash them too. If we 'attack' and push them all back behind the ball, it'll be like the Blackburn match.

Okay, he has predicted us to win, but even in getting things right, he has managed to get things wrong.

drew at Blackburn

Nice to see he has paid attention to detail in the job he gets paid for.
