Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/football/979010/ADEBAYOR-IN-FRESH-BUST-UP.htmlEMMANUEL ADEBAYOR has seen his relationship with Roberto Mancini hit rock-bottom after an amazing bust-up.
Adebayor had to be restrained by stunned players after Manchester City's manager accused the striker of faking an injury.
Mancini claimed it was no more than a dead leg, but Adebayor went for a scan to prove the injury was genuine.
City's £170,000-a-week forward responded by taking a scan of a torn muscle in his leg into Mancini's training ground office.
Adebayor has not played for the club since coming on as a substitute in their 1-0 defeat at Sunderland last month.
A City source said: "It all kicked off between them. There is nothing worse than a manager accusing a player of feigning an injury.
"Adebayor might not be playing well, but he would never be so unprofessional. He was furious."
Relations between the pair have been simmering ever since Adebayor was axed for the opening game of the season at Tottenham.
The latest incident in Adebayor's chequered career at Eastlands happened prior to last weekend's draw at home to Blackburn.
He has not featured for City since he came on as a 75th minute substitute for Joleon Lescott at the Stadium of Light.
Adebayor has been nursing the injury every since and missed City's last two matches.
He has had a string of clashes since Mancini replaced Mark Hughes at Eastlands last December.
The City striker had to be stopped by friends from confronting Mancini at White Hart Lane after he was left on the bench.
Adebayor demanded an explanation from the Italian boss at their warm-down session the following day.
The City striker then publicly threatened to quit the club as the transfer deadline came to a close, but they refused to sell him.
Adebayor is one of a number of players struggling to cope with Mancini's methods after the Italian has spent nearly a year in charge at Eastlands.
He was furious after Mancini suggested Jo, who scored against Red Bull Salzburg in the Europa League win on Thursday, was now ahead of him in the pecking order.
A number of senior players are struggling to adapt to Mancini's methods, but there are no plans to change the manager.
He spent nearly £200m on new recruits in the summer and some are settling in better than others.
Despite Mario Balotelli's injury he stunned City's players last week by raising his hand in the air on one level and repeating "Eto'o", before raising his hand higher and chanting "Balotelli".
Don't believe a word of it.

Its being simply ages since we have had a 'Mancini and players at each others throats and hate his training methods' story. I was starting to miss them. Doug needs to get his act together or does he deliberately omit the bits about players burning Mancini's effigy at Carrington?

Doesn't ring true to me - surely the first thing a manager would do is get him checked out by the club's medical staff before accusing him of anything - either Ade is trying for a January move or someone is trying to stir up some crap between the two of them.

I don't think Mancini would have accused him of faking an injury without proof, so I struggle to believe this article.

Haven't the media already told us that Mancini doesn't communicate with the lads? They can't have it both ways!

Shankly used to reglarly call his injured Liverpool players "malingerers".

Must be honest, since he joined us I have more than once wondered about his injuries, seems to have lots of minor niggles & think one of the reasons Wenger let him go was his reliability. Would like to see him gone in January & replaced by Dzeko who just gets on with it. We have some bad luck with injuries at the moment, but when everyone fit, not sure how often Adebyor would be playing anyway

I can see there being an element of truth in this story, but not has they've portrayed it and if Mancio doesn't start playing him soon then we may start hearing a few more stories.

Can't play him when he's injured.

Am I the only person not in denial about this ?
Its probably true, big fucking deal, Adebayor doesnt have to be happy, he can fuck off in Jan and we can bring in someone with a pair of balls.
Adebayor hasnt played well enough to merit a starting place even when fit. In fact we'd rather play Tevez upfront on his own or with Jo it seems.
We all know he is a head case, it was only a matter of time before it all kicked off.

Crossie I have to agree with you mate. I don't think his head has been in the right place since the Arsenal match at Eastlands and his 100 yards dash to their supporters.
I have been very disappointed with his work ethic especially when he is obviously going to be compared with superman Tevez in similar positions.

And bye the bye... how does a muscle tear show up on a "scan"?

Having back and knee problems, I know they have injected me with iodine and done an athroscope. The one inside my knee to examine my cartilage was amazingly painful.

I disagree completely. Ade was excellent last season when he had a consistent run in the team. Give him four or five games and he will score goals.
