Not as good as CtK's, but I do like to read the BBCs Match Preview.

TEAM NEWS

Victor Moses should be fit to return for Wigan after missing two games with an anal problem.

Defender Gary Caldwell will remain sidelined for a few more weeks as he recovers from penile erection surgery.

Manchester City will assess the fitness of striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who missed the Europa League win in Salzburg with a dead leg.

Jerome Boateng (knee) is unlikely to be involved, but Roque Santa Cruz [i]is
fit and available.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pie-Eaters

Doubtful: Moses (ankle) Injured: Gary Caldwell (hip)

Manchester City

Doubtful: Adebayor (dead leg), Boateng (knee)

Injured: Balotelli (knee), Kolarov & Tchuimeni-Nimely (both ankle), Lescott (groin)

MATCH PREVIEW

Carlos Tevez has scored five goals in his last six Premier League appearances against Wigan, and Manchester City will need the Argentine striker in that kind of form as they seek to belatedly kick-start their season.

From the club itself there has to be patience. The boss has only been here a short period and this is a building job. It is going to take time. Brian Kiddo

Despite the millions spent - or perhaps because of it - this City side is yet to gel. One win in four games is not a satisfactory return for a team with title ambitions and coach Roberto Mancini knows that while his owners' funds may be limitless, their patience may not be.

Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is convinced City will click, but will be keeping his fingers crossed it doesn't happen at the DW Stadium on Sunday.

The Latics have managed to Eat all the Pies and turn their horrendous start to the season around in recent weeks, and will be keen to build on their victory at Tottenham and last weekend's last-gasp draw at home to Sunderland.

Wigan will take confidence from their home record against City - they have never lost a Premier League match against their Greater Manchester rivals in five meetings.

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

• These sides have met 10 times in the Premier League. City have lost five, drawn three and won just two.

• City have never won at Wigan in the Premier League in five attempts.

Wigan

• Wigan have managed only one goal at home this season, conceding 11 due to their shitness.

• Six of Wigan's last nine league goals have come in the 80th minute or later.

• The Latics' keepers have saved just 39% of the shots they have faced this season, a lower proportion than any other side.

Manchester City

• City haven't won away from home in the Premier League during the month of September since beating Crystal Palace in 2004.

• Mancini's side have only won two of their last nine Premier League matches.

• They have failed to score in five of their last nine league matches.

• Carlos Tevez has scored 23 goals in his last 27 Premier League outings and is a fucking Star.

LEADING GOALSCORERS

Wigan

Alcaraz & Rodallega: 1 goal (1 league);
Gomez & Moses: 1 goal (0 league)

Don't see why AJ is left out - he's been our best player recently

All part of the Mancini masterplan. Take control of the game, keep the oppos crowd quiet and nick a goal and then use the flair players to come on later if needed to finish it off.

Mmmmm, not convinced with playing Tevez again in what realistically becomes a 6 man midfield, however that team is good enough to beat many of the teams in the Prem so not too worried.

2-1 to City today with Milner and Tevez grabbing the goals and at least five yellows during the game!
