They was immense probably de jongs best game for me "when it mattered"

But for me boyata when he tried bullying drogba was the highlight for me he is a kid dominating drogba and probably saved us when he pulled drogba back sneakily to get goal side.

mancini is in well over his head isn't he? fucking ridiculous.

let's give Boyata his due as well. .. a great performance I think today. The attack that he had to deal with, he is going to be a rock for us in D. mark my words.

perfect tactics, would have liked to have seen more of aj, but mancini is going to be rotating wings and that is what is going to happen, we have to accept that. AJ will start and play the whole game next game, which is important as well.

I thought silva played very well today, he isn't a player that racks up stats, but he plays in a lot of balls that will lead to assists from other players, and he tracked back quite a lot today. Think he took a ball of anelka at one point? great job all around.

Komp and Dejong ... flawless. De Jong has arrived. Kompo is living up to the potential we all saw. He is definitely a future captain.

Excellent games and de Jong is the reason we will win games against the tougher teams, but how can you go past Zabs today, he was fucking magnificent.

Milner got some stick in the match thread, but I think he played a good game. He really put in a shift defensively, and I can see why Roberto picked him ahead of AJ for a game like this.

I dont mind admitting it now, but I was absolutely cacking myself at the thought of our stand-in fullbacks when I heard the lineup - but they were two of the strongest performing players by the end. A couple of small wobbles from Boyata but his bodycheck on Drogba left him WELL in credit with me.

Key of today game was their massive performance. Did one of them make even a little mistake? I don't remember, I don't recall!

I've got no memory. Of anything at all!

Great artist. Saw him live last Friday.

Let's not forget about Barry. 42/42 passes completed, 8/9 tackles successful.

Gazza Bazza at his very, very best. Loved the tackle to leave that tosser Ivanovic writhing on the floor like he'd been electrocuted!

De Jong has improved immensely from last season. Whoever has taught him to pass needs to take a bow!

The exact type of game De Jong was born to play in, the bloke is phenomenal in the role we play him in.

Brilliant, all of them were today.

One thing though.
Mancini keeps using the word "mentality" and what he means is that the players need to put in a performance close to today's against the likes of Newcastle, Stoke, etc.
History is full of teams who could turn it on for the big games only.

I love Nigel,I know he is not eveyones cup of tea but he on his day is up there with the best in the world in that postion. Would have a Nigel De Jong over a Robinho anyday of the week but I am anti flair!!

I disagree, As David Byrne says "same as it ever was". he had a great game today , but no different from last year.

Kompany talking about "today is already yesterday for us" and looking ahead to Newcastle & Blackpool, determined to avoid the kind of slip that happened at Sunderland after beating Liverpool, is exactly the kind of mentality Mancini wants.
