Can't believe all the "no's" in this thread. I was expecting a lot of yes's after I read the first post.
For me it's easy to say no because there's a good chance he won't get back mentally but I think he can return to our first team.
The club need to manage him correctly and not train him early on in his comeback. We are in the ideal situation now where we aren't desperate to rush him back and there isn't much expectation of him any more so the pressure will be off.
I doubt he'll come back as a first choice though but squad player yes he can.

He was shit, is now shitter. It pisses me off aswell that everyone mentions him and talks about how he's getting fit like he would ever get in the 1st team. He's a spacky little mong who as far as i remember was average, maybe above average in a wank team. He will be a star at dartford or whichever shit club he ends up at though.

Does it matter? He is still only 22. You cannot write him off. He is like any other young player. Anything he has done before now was extra. When he is finally fit, let's judge him on that. He is still a very intriguing prospect, as we have seen flashes of brilliance. Has he been injury prone, yes, but the types of injuries he has had can be overcome. I don't really season any reason to slate or praise him, just let him play, and hopefully play healthy. There has to be a reason he was placed on the 25 man list.

I think he can recover and do well, but I'm a natural optimist. Assuming he loses some mobility/speed I believe he has the intelligence to adapt his game. I just hope he can stay injury-free long enough to try and make his mark on the first team.

Would I like to see this guy back and to the point of us all gasping as to what a player he may become?, yup indeedy. He had all that was needed and showed so much potential. However I feel it might be another Paul Lake situation with a case of what could have been. Credit to the club for sticking by him.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Wouldn´t write him off just yet - obviously Mancio has seen enough to name him in his 25 and more importantly medical science has advanced light years since Lakey´s days in dealing with potentially career threatening injuries - more players are making decent comebacks - another major setback however ....

He was far from shit u nobhead! Saying thatching I said he will not get back to a level that will get him anywhere near our team in my opinion. He probably won't even get back to a level where he could get in liverpool's. I can see him ending up going somewhere like Leeds if they got promoted or maybe newcastle of they stay up. I'd like to see him at a big club with a passionate fan base not some joke outfit like Wigan.

It might be all he earns from dedicating his life to football. He got lucky, if it had happened earlier he might have been released long ago, as happens.

Talent and abilty - Yes
Body and mind - No

Great talent, allthough not as good or important to us as some made out - "the new colin bell" ect, i think we were searching for a hero.

Put it this way, if Gareth Barry was 4 years younger, he's be part of Mancini's team for the next five years and Johnson is better natural ability wise than Barry.

He will be brilliant, he'll be amazing, he will dazzle, he will score and make goals, he'll make those around him better players, he'll be Colin Bell and Ali Benarbia in one, he'll captain City to several league titles and win the World Cup for England.

For those asking why I ask, yeah I browse here and bluemoon and I hear things on both saying things like him in midfield would change our shape or him getting back to fitness would like a new signing.

He just aint worth getting our hopes up for. RSC plays more often.
Tracking back is overrated.

Nobody can definitively answer this because some players can come back well from injuries and others can't and continually breakdown.

He has trouble in the past with recovery and so will have to wait till he's fully fit before we can make a judgement.

Johnson has the potential to most certainly be in the squad and reckoning because when he was playing well in a decent City side he was good, with even more talented players and a potentially very good City side he could really kick on and fulfil his ability.

Don't pay attention to what folk on here or Bluemoon say mate. Watch vids of him playing and you will see a very decent player. He aint in our 25 just for sentiment. It's because he can play and I think that you're gunna be pleasantly surprised at what he's got to offer us. He doesn't have to be our "new signing" he's already on our books and we've got loadsa dough anyway. Think positive and wish him well. The lad's also a Blue unall if that counts for anything. Glass half full and all that eh mate:o)
