Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor refuses to rule out move to ‘fascinating club’ Juventus
Forward could leave if he fails to break into starting XI...

Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor is working hard to revive his career at Eastlands, but has admitted he could consider moving if he doesn't get regular first team football.

The former Arsenal man, who has been knocked down the pecking order by manager Roberto Mancini this season, was linked with a move to Europa League opponents Juventus over the summer.

And while Adebayor states he would like to force his way back into the team, he will ponder leaving if his vision of life at Eastlands doesn't change.

"What is it like to be playing against Juventus? The effect is one against a team with which I was linked in the summer by the papers," he told Il Giornale ahead of Juventus' clash against City.

"When I said that I was not convinced about ending my career in England I never mentioned Juventus.

"But I would be lying to say that I don't consider them as one of the most fascinating clubs in the world.

"Mancini? We have spoken with serenity and I want to fight for a starting role. But if I don't play then it would be stupid not to look around.

Don't see a problem with those comments whatsoever. If I was asked specific questions like that then I'd probably answer them exactly the same.

Me too, nothing wrong with those comments, he's simply stating he's needs to keep his options open which is true of all non-starting players.

Maybe it will mean we see one of his untouchable performances tonight like when he plays against the Gooners? Hope so!

I don't have a problem with it either & I would say the same. I'd have a problem if he wasn't willing to fight for a place but if he is genuinely going to try his best & if he plays well & still doesn't get in, then he should definitely go imo as it means Mancini doesn't want him.

When he was interviewed in Blue Moon Rising he said "I want to fulfil my footballing destiny with this club" or something to that effect! How footballers change after a couple of weeks on the bench

Thing is matey, he got his big chance tonight, and reminded me of Samaras skill with Corradi's stamina and Mackens control, Gerry Creaney strike rate and Huckerbys fucking offside know how. All at the relative cost of Lee Bradbury.

More from Ade...

Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has said he would like to try his luck in Serie A and revealed he could have joined Juventus.

"I would like to play in Italy and I would see myself well at Juventus," he told Tuttosport. "I have spoken about it with Patrick Vieira and he told me about the good season he had at Juve.

"Italian football is very technical and I like it. When [Fabio] Capello was there they hypothesised a transfer to Juventus, but then nothing happened.

"I am going through a delicate moment in my career, I am sure something will happen," he added.

"I have no problem with [Roberto] Mancini, but I cannot go forward like this forever.

"Therefore if they want me..."

I'm seriously getting sick and tired of Ade's moaning. If he wants to play "technical" how come he's first touch is so w*nk. He can't first touch a refrigirator dropped from an airplane. He is
a rich mans Benjani.

I said to my mate a few weeks before we signed him that we needed a Drogba type forward and he suggested Ade. But I said I'd prefer Jones as I rate him highly and I still stick by that. He's showing now what he can do with decent service from the likes of pennant and etherington.

IF this is a genuine quote & not a complete fabrication, then we should fuck him off, pronto. It's one thing not being happy on the bench & wanting a fair chance but that would be blatant angling for a move. I don't trust a lot of these stories though. They often seem to put in 'quotes' that were never actually said.

Not sure if its been posted already but its from sky sports news with quotes..

"I'd like to play in Italy and I can see myself in black and white stripes," he told Tuttosport.

"I talked it over with Patrick Vieira, who holds excellent memories of the season he spent in Turin.

"Your (Italian) football focuses a lot on technique and I like it. I had already been in talks for a move to Juve during Fabio Capello's time at the club, but nothing ever came of it.

"At the time I was very young, but now I am fully mature.

"I am going through a delicate moment in my career and something has to change. I am not annoyed with (Roberto) Mancini and we have an honest rapport, but we can't go on like this indefinitely.

"Therefore, if Juve want me..."
