MOTD made bugger all of it. They mentioned it, everybody shrugged their shoulders and they moved on to the next piece.

Just seen it on motd2 and still convinced there's nothing wrong with it. Sorry for Arfa and it looked a lot more painful than he was making out but still not deliberate.

It was clumsy rather than malicious, it was just an unfortunate collision.

Wasn't it just? The mic caught it just right. Thought it was a bit of a 'robust' challenge with NDJ's right leg coming in after his left.

Are you deliberately trying to give everyone the impression that you're a wanker?

Anyway, back in the world of normal human beings; it's an awful shame what's happened to the lad but having seen it again, if they 'do' DeJong for that, they'd better give Paul Scholes & about 50 other people a retrospective 20 game ban each. I asked two full scale rags about it before I'd seen the replay & neither thought there was even a question of a problem with the challenge.

I called that challenge yesterday (I wish there was some bookies who would take bets on that sort of thing) as i said to my mate that Nige would hurt that tricky little fucker within five minutes. Well, he did hurt him but he did it within 3 minutes.

There's nothing PC about it. The differeince is between the reaction of a normal human being & your reaction which is abnormal. If you enjoyed watching that, there's something wrong with you & you should consider visting a doctor. I suspect you're just bullshitting though, because half the time you seem to be posting utter shite for effect, to try & give yourself an image rather than just discussing topics honestly. I suspect you're quite young, a bit thick & have a very small penis. You'll get older but I guess you're stuck with the other two.

I don't think you could even call it clumsy. A hard and fair tackle that unfortunately led to quite a serious injury.

Seems a little weird this season. How many broken legs is that already? What can it be put down to? The press are going on about tackling not being taught correctly but i think it must be more than that. Players don't seem to have as much protection around the ankles these days which used to soften the impact somewhat.

There was fuck all wrong with that tackle.
How can people mention the Keane incident in the same sentence?? Keane went out to deliberately ruin the career of another player and has said so since! He didn't get the ball and cleaned Haaland out. Don't fuckin bring that cunt up when talking about a fair tackle!

I was listening in work at the time to Collymore saying "We need players like De Jong out of the game! There's no place for them!" Fuck off you prick! Without players like De Jong players like Ronaldo would be doing fuckin ballet on the pitch!

Tackling is a part of the game. When did that change??

The reason I mentioned Haaland was on the result not the tackle. I thought it was a legal tackle, completely full blooded and nothing less than we'd expect from Nige. However a player did get injured and a certain poster's delight in that fact is what prompted the comparison. I am not happy Ben Arfa was injured, it was unfortunate and a horrible thing to happen to any player, people taking delight from that fact need it brought back home, hence the comparison.

I heard this and it was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!!! He said "it's time to ban tough tackling midfielders", "in this day and age we should be able to put out a team to just play the beautiful game".

It would end up like a game of basketball if that happened, 25 lovely passes and a goal, then down the other end, 15 fancy flicks and another goal. For every fancy dan player you need someone to stop them playing it's the basics of football.
