Capello - City group important
Three Lions boss expected to name five City players in squad
England coach Fabio Capello admits he is pleased that there is such a strong contingent of players available from Manchester City.

The Three Lions boss is expected to select five City players for the Euro 2012 qualifier with Montenegro next week when he names his squad later on Monday.

Joe Hart, Joleon Lescott, Gareth Barry, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Adam Johnson are set to be called up by the Italian tactician, as he looks for another win on the road to Poland and Ukraine.

Capello stressed the importance of calling on a group of players from the same club, and believes it will be of great benefit to the national team.

"It's important that so many of the players are at City because they train every day together, they play together regularly in the matches," he said.

"The national teams that won the titles, the World Cup the Euros, they had something like this.

"Spain, for example, had players from three teams, seven from Barcelona, three from Real Madrid and one from Villarreal.

"When Italy won the World Cup in 2006, they had a lot of players from Juventus."

Decision

Capello faces a tough decision on who will lead the line for England against Montenegro next Tuesday.

Wayne Rooney is set to be named in the squad despite fears over his form and fitness, while Jermain Defoe is injured and Emile Heskeyhas retired from international football.

Sunderland hitman Darren Bent is one man who could benefit from the lack of options, and Capello admits the Black Cats forward is in his plans.

"Bent is back, he scored his first goal," Capello added. "You know that Bent in front of goal is really, really dangerous.

"He played 20 minutes against Switzerland and he scored an important goal. He is probably one of the important players for the future.

"Defoe, in the new style, is really important. Unfortunately this time he is injured so I have to find another forward like him."

Happy whenever City players are included obviously, but what in the world has SWP done to deserve a call?

Was surprised to see Milner omitted although TBH, his form hasn't been that great lately but now I've been reminded that he got his 2nd Yellow card in the Switzerland match.

What's all this about Milner in suspenders? Is that why he wont be picked?
