Martin fecking Margetson. He was fucking terrible.
Will never forget a home game against QPR (1st div i think, same game Kinky scored a scorching free kick) when the ref blew for a foul, the dumb shit handed the ball over to their player. The QPR player then quickly took the free kick and they scored an open goal because the twat was still walking back.

We lost 3-2 if I remember correctly.

Andreas Isaksson, every minute he was on the pitch he was shaking like a sh*tt*n' dog as peter kay would say. I don't know if the price tag or prem overawed him but he never got close to a decent performance.

Seaman was bad but wasn't the worst, just too old, kind of reminds me of another ex-gooner we have!

Lol anyone remember him playing outfield at Maine Road?...

Simon Tracey was the most god awful keeper for us. I can't remember if Burridge was any good?

Except for the game against the munes when he pulled off a string of supendous "how the fuck did he just do that" saves. Did he come on as an early sub in that game?

Yeah, Weaver came off injured. Issy always looked a tad nervous with his kicking, but I can't recall a single goal let in that was his fault or any blunder. He had a couple of decent performances.

for me it has to be seamen as others have said, Keegan tried to follow buying schmeichel with Seaman and it was a worse buy than Vuoso.

Has to be Martyn Margetson (or however you spell it). He is Satan.

He came to our school in place of the 'injured' Tony Coton, for some event or summink. I took 5 penos against him. Scored two, he saved one, and two hit the exact same spot of the bottom of the left hand post. Where a half brick was sticking out the ground next to the post to make it stand straight. Woulda gone in. True story. There was a crowd and everything. Made me look like a right nob.

I think it was 2-2. And who can forget Jamie Pollack's og. Plus as me and me mates were about to leave the Platt Lane stand there was a biblical downpour - we just stood there laughing at the stupidity of the world.

That wasn't the only one of his mate. He was a joke throughout the league although of course he could also make brilliant saves. The young Joe Corrigan was another good shout, but how he turned it around!!

John Burridge was absolutely terrible - anyone remember that goal he let in away at Forest?
Any comments on City's "forgotten keepers" : Mike Stowell, Bobby Mimms, Eric Nixon, Gunnar Nielsen? Can't think of any others.
Didn't David McKeller and Tim Flowers at some point sign on as cover?
If so they belong to a class of phantom City players who seem to have been registered to play, but never actually did. I remember old John Deehan doing this but I don't think he ever had a game, did he?

That is the stupidest fucking thing I've ever seen on a football pitch. The fact that Kinky scored with a quickly taken free kick catching them off guard, didn't register with the thick twat at all so he goes & hands them the opprtunity to do the same. I can't remember anyone worse than him, although Dibble on a bad day was humourously bad.

Who was Frank Clark's keeper? I've got a horrible feeling from that period, as if I've blocked out some terrible memories that will only come back through hypnosis.

Changed my mind. Nick Weaver. Absolutely terrible.

Ok he played a blinder in teh play-off final, but every dog has its day and all that.

He practially took us down one season, his kicking, positioning, wampyre-esque attitude to crosses, and before anyone says he was a good shot-stopper, goals seemed to go straight through him at times. And he was always out gettgin blathered and mouthing off to fans.
