One wonders why people dislike the Manchester teams . If the decisions dont go thier way they whine and cry what would thier comments be if that happend to Tevez or Berbatov, there would be months of mourning. I really think van Maarwijk is the one who is to blame for much of this hate campaign. I have no clue what he tried to accomplish with banning de jong from the national team, but if he hadn't this whole episode would've been forgotten within a few days. That decision made it possible for the hacks in the UK to re-hash the story and put another slant on it. It also validated all the vile bollox they possibly could come up with; they sort of got a free pass to write shit. van Maarwijk's decision also made it an international story, with the international press jumping on the hate-de-Jong-band-wagon, leading to idiots like Marseille to cash in on the attention.
