I'd go with the Quinn penalty save. it was outrageous! If I remember, he was unbeatable that day.................until right at the end, when he came out to pick up a simple ball. Saunders nipped in and stole it off him to make it 2-1.

He tipped the ball around the post for a corner from the penalty then rose like a Salmon to take the cross at about 10 ft off the ground.

He scored in that match as well if I recall correctly, hence the next weeks rendition of ....

He scores when he's out
He saves when he's in
You ain't seen nothing like Niall Quinn

in order:

corrigan v leeds, away, fa cup 1977, lost 0-1. that night, motd compared it to the banks save.

schmeichell v scouse 1, away, won 2-1. montgomery-like.

james v chelsea, away, drew 0-0. stunning.

arason v spurs, away, won 4-3.

all away from home. hmmmmm.
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

Nicky Weaver from Guy Butters at Wembley.

Maybe not the best save from a City 'keeper but definately the greatest IMO.

Arason and Schmeichel are the two best I've seen.

Given made an absolute belter of a save from Milijas at home to Wolves last season. Brilliant one hander.

Joe Corrigan was man of the match in the cup final against spuds. I cant remember specific saves but he was already my hero and although both journeys back were pretty crap I remember on the Saturday thinking that Joe Corrigan was brilliant.

Nigel Cleghorn at Wallsall around 88/90 at fallows road, just before wallsall moved to the Bescot. 3-3 was the final result but Nige was great that day. IIRC we were two down in that game and we were near the top and they were bottom. The police were real twats that day also. The song for Nige that day

Nigel is my Dad
Nigel is my Dad
Oh Nigel is my Dad

Anybody who was there remember?
